The new Custom V-Rocker features the same rocker design that brought the Hero to fame last year, but with a stiffer flex and slightly more aggressive feel. Experience: I first demoed this board in Tahoe in size 159. I immediately fell in love with it! I rode it all day long through the park and then through some pow as it started dumping. It took everything I threw at it and was wanting more. I was able to press the 159 with incredible ease. Hitting jumps with it was as smooth as glass. It also handled the chop quite well. Well after returning from tahoe I was SOLD on this board. I was able to pick one up about a week later at the burton demo sale in Denver is size 156. I spent all of April and part of May riding it. It was amazing. The more time I spent on the board the more I loved it. It helped me increase my confidence in the park. I can also tail press this thing about 3 feet off the ground. I am a fairly big guy at 6ft 210lbs and I felt right at home on both the 159 and 156. I have ridden a decent amount of reverse camber boards including the original skate banana, the 2010 skate banana, burton hero and joystick. I can say without a doubt this is the best reverse camber board I have been on. If you want one of the best boards ever produced pick up a custom V-rocker.

Cons: Harder to hook off the lip of big jumps vs. camber, They did not make this board sooner,

Experience: My top pick for boards in 2010. The Custom V-Rocker is extremely playful with a ton of pop in the nose and tail. The directional shaped core and slightly set back stance still has a very twin like flex in the nose and tail. The new tech construction allows the board to hold and edge and be very responsive at high speeds, while still be soft and flexi when jibbing and buttering around. The profiled core between the feet allows the Custom V-Rocker to really lock onto rails, even with the V-Rock at the center of the board. The board has a looseness that is great all over the mountain while it can really hook up and accelerate when laid over. The board is a bit different for spinning off big jumps. It feel like you are always fading off the lip of a jump rather than hooking off your edge. This can be great for small and medium features, but is a bit scary off the big boys. The board is also not my favorite pipe board. This board can do it all and I feel is one of they best boards in all terrain environments.

Experience: Every time I went into the demo tent, the Custom Vrockers were out. So finally I stalked the board by getting to the demo tent first thing on Sunday AM. The 156 (my preferred size) was already out, but they did have a 159. Unlike the Custom, the Vrocker is a mid-wide. The 159 has a waist width of 255, so I was totally able to take the board out even though it's a bit long and wide for me for East Coast riding. Many people I know were pushing me to ride this board. And it pains me to say this, but they're right. The board is sick. The flex is slightly softer than the regular Custom and the Vrocker works in synch with this stiffer, all-mountain deck. It was super stable, held an edge at speed on ice, etc. and also at the same time was able to utilize the Vrocker to make your park riding, freestyle dorking sessions more fun. I've been testing the Never Summer SL-R. The Custom Vrocker reminded me a lot of the SL-R or the T.Rice that I was also riding. The common themes are: slightly stiffer flex, reverse camber, yet still maintains an edge and has ollie pop off the tail. So I think you'll see a lot of Custom Vrockers on the slopes in 2010 as it combines the traditional best seller: the custom with Burton's version of the rocker. Definitely a killer combo and this is also on my short list now. I just wish it came with blunted tip and tail.

Experience: To start this off i am a beginner.I love how my 151 pink graphics glow like crazy the pictures do not do this board justice. Those graphics glow! It was a really good board to ride. I fell the first time i tried to manual because it was really flexible, i was not expecting it. I live on the east coast in jersey so i ride icey mountains and this thing was amazing on everything i put it through. I rode on slushy, choppy, icey, mixed in with everything and it rode through amazing. It did not feel like i was riding over bumps alot. And the first jump i went off i stomped it. It felt great when i landed it. And it was kinda hard for me to olly because it was stiffer in the back i guess i have to get used to that. It felt kidna easier to nolly because of the softer flex in front. Hope that helped

Experience: So after much anticipation I finally bought the custom v 159 with medium malavita bindings. To my surprise it rides much more stable than i expected! I found the v rocker to be very solid feeling on the icy early season groomers as well as off piste. You control the board more under your feet( skate like) but still able to carve out your turns at mach speeds. Base is fast! The 255 ww is perfect for 10 1/2 boot with medium malavitas. I also found that i didn't need to preload my ollies as much giving me more balance off rollers at high speed! Going to switch was the easiest i've ever experienced out of 18 years of shred. Carving switch was a little bit off, but this is expected with directional boards. It makes up for it though with how well it tracks while riding regular. I have to say this board really rocks so far. Seems to be a perfect true all mountain freestyle board! Jackson Hole is a hard ride with lots of crazy terrain and I have no doubt this board will eat all of it up!!!

Experience: I just finished putting 2 days of riding on the 2010 Burton Custom V-Rocker 159.(NW POW, semi-heavy) This board ABSOLUTELY RIPS, in EVERY catagory!!! I've been ridin' since 88 and I've owned just about every type/brand of board there is and last year I rode the 09 Lib Tech Skate Nana for 40 days in every condition. (from early season, icy, sick pow, mash potato, etc... I ride EVERYTHING from park to grooms to backcountry to steeps. I don't discriminate! lol!) I LOVED the Naner but it was just missing something... Here are some of my opinions about the 2010 Custom Vrocker. - SUPER easy to ride, from beginner to Expert. no adjustment needed. - it floats well in pow (about a foot deep), remember this is no fish or malolo but it rode fine. - it handles great on groomers, I let it go a few time down the hill and this thing just holds like it's on rails, I never felt sketchy at all. - V-rocker was noticeable but nothing like the Naner. Super easy to butter and turn on the flats. - take the Burton flex rating with a grain of salt, I was a bit worried in the beginning but NEVER once did I feel like the board was too soft. Bottomline, this thing is a do-it-all/All Mt killer. The Custom rips in EVERY and ANY condition, you won't be disappointed!!!

Experience: Burton Custom V Rocker is a quiver killer. For the last ten years I have had a powder board (Burton Fish, then Burton Malolo) and an every day board. The V Rocker is as fun if not more fun on a 2 foot powder day than the Burton Malolo. Then it carves great on the groomers at any speed and of course it is made for the park. No need for a quiver any more, this is the only board that I tested that I am giving 5 starts too.

Experience: I purchased this board and have since fallen in love with it!!! This board is no where near as stiff as some other boards that I have ridden, and I easily had complete control over the board on any terrain that I rode it in (pow, slush, ice). I have not taken this board to the park yet, but I cannot wait to try it out there also! I repeat, this board will not disappoint any rider!!

Experience: Just took out the Custom V Rocker for the first time last weekend. Took it all over the hill around me and had a blast. Bombed down some steeper runs and never felt sketchy at high speeds. Held an edge on the harder icy stuff and never felt like I was going to lose it. Didn't have a chance to take it off any jumps since they had none built yet but was fun spinning around in the flats. Rode the Hero last year and I loved it. This board seems a little stiffer than the Hero and so far I think I am liking it more for an all around board.

Experience: The v-rocker is almost like a stiffer version of last years burton hero. The hero was an amazing board for riding park, but the custom rocker brings that same amount of fun to the rest of the mountain. Definitely a single board quiver!
