"Steezy Gore Mitts" 1/25/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Goretex Mittens Men's
  • Pros:  Warm, Vent/Storage Pocket, Steezy
  • Cons:  Not a fan of gauntlets,

Experience:   Theses mittens are awesome. Warm with a vent pocket if it gets too warm. You also get the removable glove liners for those really cold days or use the liners on those extra warm sessions. Besides being waterproof, these gloves also look fresh!

"Great Mittens for the price!" 1/19/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Goretex Mittens Men's
  • Pros:  Warm, Dry,
  • Cons:  Mitten runs a bit long, the over the wrist cuff is annoying,

Experience:   I've ridden these in -5 degrees with wind and I'm happy to say that I never did got cold fingers. You'll need to wear the lining that come with the mittens of course. Never once got wet with them either. I've ridden in warm weather as well and when it heats up there's a side vent you can unzip to get some airflow going. These are a bit hard to put on if you're wearing the inner glove liner. I wear size small and the wrist part is tight when I try to put on the gloves with lining--even with the wrist strap loosen all the way. Another thing i don't like about these mittens is that it runs a bit long on the fingers and short at the thumb. So it makes it a bit harder to hold things, like my monopod stick to take videos or putting on my bindings is a bit hard too. the wrist part of the mitten is a bit bulky since it's over the wrist cuff but i like to wear it under my sleeves so it's a pair trying to get my coat's sleeve to go over the mitten to wrap around them. Aside from the two cosmetic issues the mittens are super cozy and dry. I use these for super cold days and sometimes warmer days when I take lots of photos with the camera so I can slip my hands in and out of the mittens.

"Top Quality Mittens" 1/1/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Goretex Mittens Men's
  • Pros:  Design, Warmth, Breathablity

Experience:   These are all around just some sick mittens. They are so warm I mostly ride without the insert gloves, which have a nice grip pattern on the palm (It's weird but I got the inserts to work with my iPhone screen one day on the Mountain, but haven't since lol). They have vents on top of the mitten you can unzip and open, also doubles and a stash pocket. With plenty of drawstring for those powdery days. Great gloves for the price!

"Nice Mitts" 12/23/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Goretex Mittens Men's
  • Pros:  warm, waterproof, durable

Experience:   Picked these up because my previous pipe gloves just weren't cutting it. The first thing you'll notice about these mitts is how warm they are. They come with nice liners and paired with the mitt they are almost too warm, but without the liner they are still great. It says the liners are supposed to work with touch screens, but it doesn't work for me, not a big deal to me. The vent pockets are nice, a little hard to zip close while they are on your hands. They seem very durable so far (only used a few times) and they are very waterproof which is a must have. The only bad thing I can say is they fit a little bigger than what I expected, overall a great pair of mitts for the price.

"Good Mitts" 10/3/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Goretex Mittens Men's
  • Pros:  Water proof, Warm,
  • Cons:  Wrists are tight, Hard to use with wrist guards.,

Experience:   On the east coast, I end up in a lot of wet conditions. These keep me warm and dry. The liners are nice for those colder days. Only issue is the wrist is a bit tight when putting the gloves on. Any you really have to work them over your wrist guards.

"Great Mit" 3/26/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Goretex Mittens Men's
  • Pros:  Very warm, Very Comfy,
  • Cons:  NONE,

Experience:   I usually dont like mittens but I got a pair of the Gore-Tex Burton mitts this season and love them. They are perfect on those cold, windy days. I really like how waterproof they are due to gore-tex material. If you have cold hands you need these mittens. I would not use these everyday on the mountain but have lighter gloves for warm days.

"Size !!" 2/8/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Goretex Mittens Men's
  • Pros:  Length, adjustable straps,

Experience:   Quick follow-up to my previous review... Just got them today... OK, L is too large for my wife's cat paw-sized hands... She'll get a smaller size. I'll keep mine... Nice and long to keep the snow out.... Good back vent... Good adjust-ability with straps, etc.... Not super insulated without the poorly designed/fitting liners... All other previous review notes stand.. Cheers!

"Sweet Mitt's" 2/1/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Goretex Mittens Men's
  • Pros:  Super Warm - even without the liners,

Experience:   You can't go wrong with these mitt's. You're hands will be toasty and on the real cold days, just throw in the liners and you'll be stoked. Sizing is right on with the liners in. If you don't use liners, go one size down.

"Liners are amazing" 1/27/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Goretex Mittens Men's
  • Pros:  Warm, Liners stay dry,
  • Cons:  Zipper Pouch is hard to close, No clip or buckle to secure to jacket,

Experience:   These mitts are dry and toasty. I am a free rider that mostly likes to ride on the steeper side of slopes and goes hunting for pow pow. The nice part about these mitts is the outer shell keeps water out, and the liners keep the water off your hands so you stay warmer. When I did manage to get snow into the gloves the goretex liners kept the moisture off my hands and it was not a real problem. The liners them selves are moderately warm and are good enough where you can stick your liners in the snow and they don't come out cold an damp in a couple minutes so your hands don't lose heat through conduction which is pretty sweet when you don't feel like putting the shell back on. My problem with the mitts is the small pocket and the lack of a way to secure your glove to your sleeves to keep the snow out. The pocket seems nifty and all, but the zipper is placed in a area of the glove where when you pull it the glove just deforms and does not close easily. Its not a real issue since jackets are generally loaded with pockets but don't plan on keeping anything you need regularly in there. My brother has the same mitts, and the seams came apart in his liners on his first use which is also a bit annoying.
