Pros: Durable, Easy to carve, poppy, Stable at high speeds, Great value, Stiff, Well known brand

Experience: If you enjoyed the hero but were looking for something a little stiffer that would handle the entire mountain better...this board is for you. The board has great pop and is stiff enough to handle the entire mountain. The v rocker makes it very playful while giving it great float in powder. If you were looking for al mountain v rocker board it would be a very close battle between the joystick and the Custom V rocker.

Experience: I have been riding for 13 years and rode Burton Customs for most of it. I never felt like a board tech was great enough to bump my riding up, but this board does just that. So much fun. Soft and forgiving yet holds a wicked edge at high speeds. Hit tons of terrain and never thought twice about it on groomed steeps. Another tech that I think makes all the difference is the Channel and EST bindings. Unbelievable responsiveness; you pretty much just have to think about turning and you do. This board is the best I've ridden and I can't say how much its done for my riding.

Experience: I'ven never had a really good board but I've ridden bad boards and this is night and day difference. If you are learning or know someone who is the control and forgiveness of this board is AMAZING!! First I am able to go much faster with more confidence. It's so easy to ride. Its pretty difficult to catch an edge and if you do it just straightens right out. The flex is pretty nice. Its not super flexible but its good enough. The rocker is great on rails. Any idiot should not catch an edge. Super easy to float through the powder. Just glides on the powder and worst comes to worst because of the flext you can lean back and it lifts the nose nicely to glide through. Just an overall great board. Highly recommended. Not a complete park board but a definite all around great mountain board.

Experience: this board is a lot of fun, i have the 156w (shorter for my size but i wanted something more maneuverable). its great for buttering around, cruising, jumps, and is fine just about anywhere. its a little loose at high speeds compared my 160 cambered board but you get a feel for it. on the other hand the rocker and scoop make it more forgiving than a cambered board which means its tough to catch an edge (spins are easy to save) and it is way more playful. this board isn't perfect but its great for freestyle riding. i have it set up with large '09 triad est's and the only downside is the bindings have etched the topsheet which is superficial and you cant see it unless the bindings are off, overall great board and design

Cons: Rides very similar to the Custom Vrock..., base is slow!!!,

Experience: I bought this board when it first went on sale, I was SUPER EXCITED to get this in the mail and rip the mountain with it!!! after taking my first run I wasn't sure how I felt... kinda empty... WTF right??? Well, I've been riding a Custom Vrock all season and that board absolutely RIPS!!! the joystick rides extremely similar to the Custom with one exception: the base... the sinter base on the Joystick is much slower compared to the Custom other than that, the board rides almost indentical. The Joystick is a tad bit stiffer in the middle section and the Freestyle scoop is definitely noticeable. (I'm a big fan of the blunt tip.) Bottomline, if I didn't ride the Custom V all year I would of gave this board 5 stars! Thanks again Sierra for hookin' up the sickkkkkkkk discount so the rest of us can snowboard and horde a bunch of nice gear for next year!!!

Experience: This is a great board in every aspect. Capable anywhere on the mountain in any condition. very Fast. Hold an insane edge Medium stiffness with nice pop. The nose and tail are pretty stiff-- I have 161 V-rocker makes it difficult to catch edge on simple ground tricks, presses, jumps etc. Board is stiff when you need it to be and playful at the same time. Slays pow(13 inches at heavenly with crazy float for a twin) My go-to deck when I have no idea what/where I'm going to be riding. Truly a great all mountain rocker as I've barely touched my other boards since I got the joy. This board pretty much typifies why Burton runs the industry.

Experience: i had a chance to try out a friend's burton joystick last week and man is this board fun! i ride a t.rice btx '10 and though it's great for bombin' down the hill jumps, i wish i would've gotten a board that was a bit more playful. the joystick is that board. not only was i chargin down the mountain w/o feeling i was gonna wipe out, its also great for messin around with manuals and butters. if you want a board that has a bit of everything and is sooper playful, pick up a joystick!

Experience: Model/Weight: 159w/75kg. Application Area: Groomers, Moguls, Backcountry, Powder, Medium Cliffs, Jibbing. Properties: Strong edgehold. Agile & quick. Drifts better then it carves at hispeeds. Made for short & medium turns - real big carves are like a 'dance on eggs', but still ridable. The rocker works like a turbo boost in deep conditions. Soft but stable. Watch your landing - find the 'sweet spot' & don't lay back too much xD U can ride this joystick real hard, especially in all kind of powder conditions - I'm absolutely satsfied!

Experience: This deck has it all Flex, pop, loves the powpow, and for me hold the edge every time. Tho I must say i never find myself sliding away from my edge on this rocked but still love to jump on a Camber and cut like a knife. ROCKER 4 LIFE
