Sierra Says: Does the Sapphire even need a description? This boot has gained so much popularity over the past few seasons that it practically sells itself. The reason it is so well-liked is because it appeals to a broad range of riders, and the fact that it is super comfy helps too. The medium-soft flex and lightweight design are ideal for turning tricks in the park, but that same construction also works for the not-so aggressive rider looking for something forgiving yet supportive while cruising the resort. The Flex 2 Liner provides optimum heel hold and it can be easily molded with heat to ensure a custom fit. As if that wasn't enough, Burton decided to pre-wire the liner with the Therm-ic FootWarming system and upgraded the footbed to elevate comfort to the next level. Hate replacing worn-out boots every two seasons? The articulating cuff shell construction allows the top half of the boot to flex over the bottom half, providing a consistent motion and eliminating destructive bulge on the sides. Experience: I have been using these boots for the last two years. I am happy with them since I have not had the urge to buy new boots yet. I am comfortable and they are light weight compared to my flow boots. I get many compliments when I wear them! :D The only real problem that I have had is one of the laces broke when I was tightening my boot! This happened recently, and my boot laces did last for two years. Therefore, that is why I have to give 4 stars!

Experience: Further to my initial review, my daughter has now used these boots for one season. The boots have performed well, but it is disappointing that the toe sticthing on both boots has come undone and hence the outer coverings on the toe section of both boots has delaminated.

Experience: I actually got the Burton Heated Sapphire Boots, which are boots you can add a portable heater to that warms up your liners. So far, I don't have any problems with the boots but I'm still having to break in the boots so at the narrowest part of my feet, its a bit painful after a session of snowboarding. I'm not sure if its because you have to break in all snowboard boots or perhaps I got shoes a bit small (when I first put them on, they feel fine). But overall, good shoes.

Experience: I've had these boots for a year and for the most part I love them! I have always had a problem keeping my feet warm. I always ended up buying boots that were too tight. These boots are perfect because they don't pinch my feet when I turn, but always keep my feet warm! The only negative is that the color tends to fade. I plan on buying these boots again!

Experience: Absolutely love them :) Only a beginner but a friend who is an advanced boarder recommended them. Took a while to break them in and a wire pack from the heating console dug into the top of my foot for a while but I wouldn't be without them. They're so much nicer than any other boot I've worn.

Experience: I really like this boots. Despite the three lace systems they have, they are easy and fast to lace. I can snowboard with them all day long with no problems once you shape them to your feet, which can take 3 or 4 days. They perfectly grab your feet and they feel warm, I've never had to use the heater you can buy for them. If I had to say something bad of them, it would be that the booty got broken and lost it shape. I would buy these boots if you could get a cheap price like the ones offered in this page, but not at the official retail price.

Experience: I would like to start off by mentioning that I am an aggressive female rider who spends a lot of time in the backcountry. I am a freak of nature, however and have always required a softer flexing boot, contrary to the theory that more experienced riders need a stiffer setup. The break-in period for these boots was a long and rather uncomfortable process. However, now that they are I find them to be comfortable and have no problem spending a solid 10 or more hours in them- which I do more often than not being a big mountain line hunter who spends time in remote locations. I am impressed with the lace system- which ties down neatly and has thus never come out of place through my days of snowmobiling and even more importantly- walking through deep snow and or climbing steep pitches. Although I am happy with the overall feel and fit of this boot- I am truely disappointed with the Thermic system- which is why I purchased these boots to begin with. I unfortunately have extremely poor circulation, and have previously always crammed foot earners into my setup on colder days. Even while hiking- the Thermic system did not put out enough heat to keep me warm on a -10F day. The fact that you have to ride with the battery packs is also extremely annoying. I ended up giving up on the whole heated liner amenity and still shove heat packs into them on colder days. I do recommend the boot overall- but don't buy it for the heat function- and don't waste an extra 70 bucks on the battery packs to use it.
