Sierra says: This softshell hoodie has 10,000mm waterproofing and fleece lining. It also has zip pits for those times you get a little too warm. This Softshell has jacket-to-pant interface which is perfect for when you just want to ride in the powder without getting it up your jacket.
Burton says: Layer it up or rock it alone - all-star status for riders who demand versatility.
Our mens and womens outerwear comes in three distinct fits all tailored around the movements of riding for total protection from wind, wet, and wacky style.
Sig Fit
Our tried-and-true fit built with room for layering, without being overly baggy. Jacket sleeves designed with a bit of extra length to fit over your gloves and keep snow out when strapping into your bindings
Team Fit
At the teams request, these jackets are longer in length than the Burton Sig Fit with two inches added in the body and one inch added in the sleeves.
Slim Fit
Tighter and more tailored when compared to the Burton Sig Fit. Pants feature a shorter rise and narrower waist, hip, and thigh area, with enough room in the cuffs to accommodate your boots

So i bought this from sierra. I am usually a lage size but bought a medium since burton stuff is usually big fitting. This thing was super tight on me. especially in the arms and shoulder area. I am 5'10. I should have gone with the large

The Burton Softshell Hoodie is exactly what you expect from a hoodie, with all the awesome tech behind what you'd expect from a reputable snowboarding company.
It fits true to size, has a nice elastic wrist and waistband.
Opinion: Feels great, micro-fleece lining keeps you warm, elastic is nice and snug. High quality materials and zippers. Heavy wind cuts through jacket, so this is good for relaxed temps ~55-70 (or a bit colder if active/boarding/etc)
Details:
(2) external kangaroo non-zip pockets, (2) internal pouch non-zip pockets, and (2) external zip pockets (by the kangaroo pocket), (1) chest zip pocket (with headphone hole & guide loop inside jacket).

I just used this for a little New England spring riding (Apr) It's great as an outer softshell I ordered mine a little large so I can't say anything about using it as a liner. For the warm weather I wore just a tshirt and this jacket. and it was great.
More pros: Love the hoodie style pockets with an additional zippered pocket. Waterproofing held up even in spring slush. Has buttons to attach to snow pants.
More cons: Only one gripe, the underarm vents don't have any sort of mesh to keep stuff out.
Bottom line: Very simple but well thought out jacket. Versatile as a warm day shell or even layer up a bit for a ~25f day.

Nice jacket that is a must have to have. You can wear it on spring condition snow or you can wear it when it is really chilly outside. Hey you can also even wear it casually if ya want cause it's warm. Fits underneath my jacket like a charm. Having this will make a big difference of you having fun or freezing your butt off because you didn't wear enough.

Nice and subtle Burton fleece, fits easily under all my jackets, not too bulky, not too light, just what I like in a fleece.
Kept me super warm â€" which is the No.1 priority, nice subtle design means this aint gonna go out of style anytime in the next coupla decades :)
Good amount of pocket space, all well positioned. Zips seem pretty robust and good cut handwarmer pockets are a real bonus. I like the semi elasticated cuffs on the sleeves and on the bottom of the fleece, just keeps everything sealed nicely. Also got the fasteners to fit to your snowboard pants which most fleeces don't.
Definitely think this is a better designed fleece than my Burton Reason fleece from last year, it's those little details that make all the difference
