" Just because two of the best halfpipe riders in the world wear this jacket, doesn’t mean you need to, too. And just because this jacket has waterproof/breathable DRYRIDE Durashell™ 2L fabric, a strategically engineered ALS lining (featuring different materials in different zones to keep you at just the right temp), fully taped seams, and heaps of other features (check out that list of standard features), doesn’t mean you need to buy it. On second thought…the Burton Traction Jacket has all that and then some at a price that leaves plenty of loot left for glazed donuts, so you should probably get one (or two)."

Pros: Waterproofing is great 10K/10K, built like a tank, Taffata Lining
Cons: Different colors fit differently, Pokes me in the eye, Pit Zips difficult to operate when coat is on
Jacket Fit: Just right
My Size: L
Description: Not too tight, with a bit of bag for style
Experience:
I've been riding the 2010 Burton Traction all season. First off, the True Black/Trench Plain print actually fit a bit snugger when it showed up than the other colors did in the store. Not enough for me to send it back though. I can't put a lot of layers underneath of it, so when it got down to -10F, I had to go back to my old Grenade Ephika.
This coat is very intuitive, I put my gear in places that just make sense. There is a cell phone pocket in the upper left chest with a tracked zipper to keep out the water. That same pocket lifts up (attached with Velcro) and reveals my season pass pocket. They have a hard time scanning it through the plastic window, but I get buy. My iPod fits in the goggle pouch, tucked away from the cold and snow. Several other on board storage places exist, although there are no internal pockets due to the liner being special.
The jacket itself is very comfy. The material is light, yet feels very strong. I ride lots of trees, so ripping is a real threat to me.
The taffata lining works better than I thought it would! It really pulls heat away on the runs, and keeps it in on the lifts.
Before the snow flew, I used it as a rain coat. It breaths like Egyptian cotton, but didn't let a drop in.
The only weird thing is, when the coat is not zipped up, the right collar has a tendency to curve in and poke me in the eye. I know, it's odd, but it's happened now 6 times.
The only other negative marks on this coat are, the powder skirt has a tendency to ride up a bit/not ride low enough, the hood won't go around my helmet on the hill, and it is impossible to get the pit zips to go all the way up or down without taking the jacket off.
!!I would buy another one in a heartbeat!!
Pros: Dead on Fit (arms and length), Warm and waterproof, Soft material near the face when zipped
Cons: Need layers underneath for the cold days,
Jacket Fit: Just right

I used this jacket for the 2010-2011 season. From powder to ice to wet slush, this jacket kept me dry and warm. There are a ton of pockets, including an convenient MP3 pouch near the zipper to keep your electronics safe. I really love the season pass/lift ticket pouch that has a flip-top to flash the ski lodge employees if you need. It also has a really soft plush material near the mouth when you zip it up to the top. This helps on those real windy days.
I am skinny and tall (long arms) and this jacket fits nicely. Not too long. Not too short. I cant be happier with my purchase. Do it today before its gone!
Pros: good price, skirt works perfect, a lot of pockets
Cons: sometimes cold for NY winter,
Jacket Fit: Just right

Description: This jacket is a sig fit(b/w slim and baggy fit)
Experience:
used Burton Traction Snowboard Jacket and TWC TRANSMISSION PANTS the whole last season. didn't regret that spent money on it. when it was real cold it felt a little chili though. powder skirt with zipper that connects jacket and pants worked perfectly, never got wet.
Description: Like most snowboard jackets it runs big for layering
Experience:
I use this as my everyday jacket including days when precip is falling. I have stayed dry.Once the windchill gets below zero .I'll switch to a down jacket. Overall this jacket works for me 90 % of the time .Like most snowsports gear it runs big for layering so expect it to be one size larger that a normal jacket .... Large for example, is the size of a XL .Great price , great shell .Buy it
Description: The jacket fits well overall, although the arms may be a little short for me
Experience:
I bought this jacket at the tail end of last season to upgrade from some pieced-together fake snow gear. It is a great jacket and does everything it is meant to do. I'm only changing jackets now because I wanted something a bit more colorful.
Experience:
Got a sick deal on this jacket. After wearing it in -2 degree weather I def would of paid more for this jacket. It's got plenty of pockets for all my stuff and the powder skirt does its job. The hood is shaped kind of weird and feels like it gets in the way sometimes. Kept me completely dry all day.
Description: That fit of this jacket was great, I like to wear a hoodie underneath my jacket and with this jacket there was still plenty of movement.
Experience:
I wore this jacket out for this firs time yesterday. The conditions were lots of snow, but it was really wet snow. However, this jacket kept me warm and dry all day. The number of pockets are great and the comfort of this jacket was amazing.
