"Nothing special" 11/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (3) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Zip Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  It's ok if you've got nothing else, compact,
  • Cons:  Hard to get decent pressure,

Experience:   These are definitely useful if you've got nothing else, but one overtight screw and you'll be cursing it. You just can't get a decent enough grip on it to really get pressure on tight screws. Still, they're compact and light, so they're easy to carry around. My advice would be to shop around for something more sturdy.

"Perfect for emergencies" 1/28/2013
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (2) No

  • Name: Burton Zip Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  Very small size, Compact and nice design, Wont impale you if you fall with it in your pocket
  • Cons:  Too small to get a good grip, Screwdriver bits a bit hard to handle,

Experience:   This is a very small tool which I find perfect to carry just in case you happen to need to tighten something or make adjusts on the slopes. It is too small to get a good grip, but that is not what this tool is designed for. It measures only 5.6cm x 4cm x 1.1cm, (2.2 x 1.5 x 0.43 inches) so you won't even notice it in your pocket. It has a magnet in the tip hole so the screwdriver bits won't fall off and get lost. The bits do fit very well both on their container places and in the tip, so taking them off actually needs a bit of effort. I guess it'll come looser with usage, but for now they don't look like they are going to get lost. It has a squeegee on the side for the googles, which I doubt I'll ever find useful, and a wrench which is said to double as a bottle opener (though opening bottles is actually the only thing I've been able to use it for) For heavier usage consider getting the bullet tool or EST tool.

"handy in a pinch" 1/16/2013
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Zip Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  small, fits in your pocket, has what you need,
  • Cons:  hard to get enough torque, loose bits easily lost,

Experience:   ive been using this for a few years now, and it does what it needs to when there is nothing else around. it fits easily in your pocket and doesnt take up space at all. the 10mm wrench ive never had to use as such, rather as what it also doubles as, a bottle opener. as a bottle opener however, it is pretty hard to use, being that its so thin. its a great small, tool to keep in your pocket and use in the middle of the slopes until you can get back to the lift to use the real tools there.

"Small and Compact, but Not Much to It" 11/26/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Zip Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  Good Enough to Get You Down the Mountain, Small, and Compact, Easy To Ride With, Doesn't Annoy You
  • Cons:  Only a Few Tools, Can Only Do So Much,

Experience:   All in all, it's a good tool for $10, but if you're riding Back Country you're going to need something more, just incase you can't get the job done with the 5 tools in has.

"Does the job" 1/16/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Zip Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  Small, Light,
  • Cons:  Easy to lose screwdriver bits,

Experience:   Easy to carry snowboard tool, can put it in your jacket/pants and forget about it (until you need it). Easy to use, but would recommend a tool with the screwdriver parts attached so that you don't lose them.

"Handy Dandy Pockey Tool" 4/12/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Burton Zip Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  small and fits anywhere,

Experience:   I bring this with me on the mountains all the time just in case if my binding screws come loose (my flow and burton mission bindings came loose on both occasion.) So yeah, very handy and no bulk!

"good in a jam" 12/30/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Zip Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  small, self contained pieces,
  • Cons:  levarage,

Experience:   A solid small tool not great for constant adjustments but does the trick for a quick tightening. I keep it in a random unused pocket and forget about it until I really need it.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Zip Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  compact, very useful, quality
  • Cons:  not a lot of torque,

Experience:   This is an awesome little tool to have in your pocket! It's perfect for those on hill adjustments! It's not made to be the main tool U use, so don't use it that way. I am super glad I have one of these every time I ride.

Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Zip Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  fittings,
  • Cons:  cant grip well,

Experience:   Its got all the fittings you need but the big problem with this tool is that you can't grip it well. I had trouble tightening the screws on my bindings tight enough with it. I'd recommend a different tool that is easier to grip

"Tightens bindings in a zip" 6/22/2011
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Burton Zip Snowboard Tool
  • Pros:  Small, Compact, No drivers stick out
  • Cons:  Hard to get things super tight,

Experience:   This is the perfect tool for doing quick adjustments on the fly. The bits are easily stowed away inside the tool and they wont impale you on a nasty stack. The only con is its hard to get any pressure to do up screws tight or undo those super tight screws the shop does up for you on the odd occasion. This worthy of being your one and only tool.
