The Charlie Slasher is built specifically for these days, so you have the most fun possible. The tapered shape and powder specific reverse camber keep your nose afloat and prevent leg burn. The Charlie is a must have second board for anyone who dreams of powder or an everyday board for a freeride enthusiast.

Capita Says: A true tapered tail powder machine engineered to surf the white waves at a price you can afford. With freestyle inspired tip and tail shapes these boards have a single reverse camber area from the insert pack forward to keep your nose above the snowline. A mistake some companies make is engineering powder boards to have full rocker in the tail area as well. This reduces stability for stomping pow landings and requires more energy tp keep your body weight properly distributed over your board in order to ride away. The Charlie Slasher POW FK has a flat base from the mid section through the tail to make powder riding easier, conserve your energy, and transition the incredibly tiring powder days into incredible, epic, pow days.

Pros: Versatile, it's actually got a tail,

Experience: OK, let's face it - if you want a fully dedicated powder board, you're going to buy a fish or swallowtail. But for those of us who live in the real world where pow days are a luxury and everything's tracked out by lunchtime, THIS is your stick of choice! It's actually a joy to ride on non powder days, it carves like a dream, and even handles switch riding just fine. I had a Malolo before this and there's simply no comparison - they're reasonably similar in pow, but the Charlie Slasher is sooooooooo much better for EVERYTHING else.

Experience: I own the Charlie 164. This board is fast, floaty and fun. It takes a little used to get the smaller tail, but once you do you'll be slashing and spraying your friends and enemies, and carving all over the mountain, not just in the trees or powder fields. The taper and rockered nose give it nice float in the pow, where Charlie really likes to play. I have a size 13 foot and ride with Burton Ion boots, I ride -9, 9 angles on my bindings, and I have no problem with toe drag. The board is also solidly constructed. I don't abuse my boards, but my boards topsheet still looks immaculate with over a dozen days on it this year, some of them in questionable early season east coast woods conditions. The Chuck Slasher is a super fun board, at a great price.

Experience: This board changed my life. I rode this for a full season at Mt Baker and all I can say is Holy F***. I have never ridden pow so fast and with such ease before. Charlie hauls, the FK nose allows you for maximum float while the flat tail allows you to still be able to turn on a dime. Also surprisingly handles well on hard-pack going from between powder stash's. If you are serious about riding pow, FAST, and don't want to spend $600+, check out Charlie.

Experience: Borrowed my buddies to do some storm chasing in vermont. Riding in about a foot of pow, it reminded me of surfing. it was so smooth, so effortless, just amazing. This will be my pow board for next season. an amazing product from capita.

Cons: big size gap (158 to 164),

Experience: I've been eyeballing this for some time, and finally had a chance to demo it out for a few hours this weekend. Surprisingly, it surpassed my expectations. The 164 Charlie was quick edge-to-edge and remarkably fun on groomers. The rockered front and flat back actually make it remarkably buttery for a 'powder' board, and it held it's own on ice as well. But no one buys a powder board for that. As far as the pow goes, it was great. It was a dream to be able to ride pow without having back leg-burn. I've also got a cambered 163 Bataleon Undisputed, which is ostensibly their powder board with taper and setback, but there was no comparison. Even with the bindings set back all the way on the Bat, the Charlie kills it in regards to float.
