Pros: iron is decent,
Cons: wax is crap,

Experience: Good iron and filing set, also comes with clear and black ptex, crap wax, brillo pad, a plastic and metal scrapper. Its not a bad starter kit imo. I'd recommend it to a friend. I'd also recommend this dakine iron over burton's iron because burton has 3 specific temperature gauges whereas dakine's can be set at any temp you wish.

Pros: has just about everythng needed,
Cons: does not come with spray cleaner, vague tuning instructions,

Experience: I never waxed and tuned my own board and it was a little confusing at 1st. Tuning instructions are vague and I ended up going on youtube for that. Iron was user friendly and the cord is long. I wish it came with some spray cleaner to clean the dirt and gunk off before waxing it. I ended up just going to my local snowbaord shop for that.

Pros: Small and Easy to Pack, Extra Pockets,
Cons: No Brushes, No Base File Guide, Instruction guide is lacking

Experience: I bought this kit for my travel kit. It has almost everything you need. The only thing I feel is missing is a base file guide but you can always buy that seperate. The side edge file guide is 88 and 90 degrees and the file has Medium tooth with directional teeth on one side and a Rasp tooth on the other. The Base file has a Medium/Find Tooth. The wax seems to be a Dakine All Temp Wax which seems to be better in warmer conditions but is good for a base wax or a cleaner wax. The tuning instructions could also be expanded apon. All and not a bad kit... You just need to add up the price of the seperate contents and make sure you don't over pay.

Cons: Could have come with a little more wax,

Experience: I bought this at the end of last season to wax and tune my boards before storing them, this came with everything I needed to file/edge, wax, and repair my boards. I would recommend to anyone who has a board and wants to take care of it. This kit came in handy especially when I damaged my board and needed to repair it with the Ptex it came with.

Experience: I really like this kit it comes with almost everything that you need for waxing and tuning your board. The only thing it didnt have was a nylon brush but I just went out and got one, also it didnt come with the best wax but it was better than nothing. Other than that the kit is wonderful and definately worth buying if you want to wax and tune your board at home.

Experience: This is a great starter kit. If you pieced all this stuff together from different times it would cost you a lot more money. The iron is a great iron it has simple temperature setting and the scrapers work great. The only bad thing in this kit is the wax it is a cheap wax that didnt want to soak into my board. Other than the wax it is a great kit.

Experience: I'm still a newbie so I don't know everything about snowboarding, all I knew was that I didn't want to pay to get my board waxed when I could do it myself. This kit looks good and everything I could possibly need right now is in there. The instructions are pretty vague, so I youtubed how to wax or asked my buddies.

Experience: I just bought this kit - got it for $50 which was a steal. All of the equipment looks like good quality, should last for a long time. It'd be nice if it came with both a plastic and a metal scraper but that's a minor nit-pick. If you can pick it up at a good price, it's definitely worth it. Then add a quality wax and pick up some cleaner and you're set.

Cons: No cleaner, Wax is not your choice,

Experience: With these good review, I had no hesitation to grab one when I saw this at $63 during the end of winter. As a newbie, I already have to spend so much time for buying many things, and getting this kit saved my time for sure. What missing are, like other said, cleaner & good wax, but I wanted to chose eco-friendly kinds anyway so that's OK. I also recommend a Burton starter kit for the bullet tool and lock.
