Sierra Says: Back again this year is the XXL with a few new modifications in the construction to make a great ski even better. The XXL is back again with a traditional wood core, with a strip of acrylic to lighten it up a little, sandwiched between two layers of metal for a smooth, solid ride. The XXL is for those very aggressive skiers looking for a big, burly all mountain ski to take them from busting through crud in the trees to making giant GS turns down the steep mountain faces.

Dynastar Says: The XXL features full vertical side walls, two layers of metal, and a wood core. The wood core has a strip of Rohacell, an acrylic which is a very light and nervous material. This helps to reduce the weight of the ski and adds a bit of 'liveliness' as well. 3D Construction changes the top sheet profile by removing excess material near the tip and tail which reduces weight and increases power to the edge. The XXL is built just like a race stock Super G ski in the Dynastar Race Room.

Experience: I demo'd these yesterday, most on groomers and crud. They tore up the groomers and powered through to powder. It's a solid all round ski for and advanced to expert skier.

Experience: I demo'ed these last year, and loved them right off the bat. Great float, lively and fun to ski. As far as im concerned, Dynastars are hard to go wrong with.

Pros: Cuts through crud, Fast,
Cons: Work required,

Experience: I only used these for a day, I was riding with my old man who had them for a few days and he loved them. In our opinion they are a ski you have to work for but the reward is worth it. They cut through the crud, fly down groomers and aren't half bad on the powder (we didn't get much powder to can't give a full opinion on that!). A good ski for an experienced rider. That said I wouldn't have these as my only pair, you would have some crazy-sore legs if you did!

Cons: Not for wimps,

Experience: Well, this is flat out my favorite ski of all time. If you like to ski fast, hard, and in all conditions (even ICE) Than this is the ski for you. If you like to drive an Audi from the Bay, go buy a chinese noodle. If you have the balls, or the common sense to ski something that will make you a better skier, than go with the XXL.
