Socks are the most overlooked piece of ski or snowboard equipment! Proper socks balance the temperature and moisture in your foot. This makes your boot fit properly, prevents cramping, keeps your body warm, and allows you to focus on fun!

The main material that wicks moisture away from your foot is polypropylene. For those who are not allergic and need maximum warmth there are wool socks. Further, for those who are warm by nature or have tight fitting boots, there are slim or light weight socks.

No matter what sock you buy, a proper snowboard sock will improve your on snow experience.

Microsupreme: a Hollow core micro denier fiber that is knit into socks- (keeps feet dry by wicking moisture away and has self-drying capabilities)it is soft and comfortable against the skin

Experience: I used these socks all last season, and they didn't get bald spots or break at all. My feet were never cold, and didnt blister in my new boots.

Description: Comfy but too much material

Experience: I boarded with these for two runs before taking them off and boarding barefoot in my boots. I don't recommend doing that -- but I was desperate. The are really warm socks although I generally run warm anyways. They are comfy socks to wear for hiking or walking or just around the house but I would not use them for boarding again. I have women's size 7 shoes, which according to their sizing chart was the largest size for a small. I thought it would be perfect since I prefer to wear my socks tighter to avoid my feet sliding around but it still felt loose. I could feel extra material bunching around in my boot and it caused my foot to hurt and cramp up. It's too bad, the design is nice and helps keep the rest of my leg warm. I think I will stick to using regular thin socks (knee highs from target) I'd recommend these to people who get really cold and to try a size down if possible.

Description: For me, the toes of the sock was looser than expected, but everything else was perfect.

Experience: Everytime ive gone snowboarding, ive taken my military issue socks thinking it was a good idea... nope. I tried not wearing socks but that lasted about ten minutes, i dont know how the other guy writing a review for this sock can survive but w/e. These socks saved my life up at Brighton last weekened and i bought 3 pair just for work. Im in Idaho and it gets cold so they help 150%. Theyre not constricting at all, and my only complaint is the color but noone sees socks out on the mountain anyways so it doesnt matter at all. I recommend them.

Experience: I got these socks for Christmas 2 years ago and these the most comfortable socks I have ever put on my foot. It fits like a glove and isn't over tight or loose. Its nice and padded inside but it really is not a bulky sock at all.

Description: Good fit for size 12 foot

Experience: They don't look too different to normal socks but you can really feel the difference when they are on nice and tight. Didn't have any problems regarding rubbing or sizing with these puppies. Soft yet breathable, they are thick enough to keep your feet warm even when the stray chunks of ice end up in your boot. Be warned they may be too thick for some people, depending on how snug your boot fit is.

Description: These socks fit just right.

Experience: These socks feel amazing when you put them on. They have padding in the correct spots and they are not to tight. I ended up getting size small since they are out of medium. They almost go up to my knees which will help keeps my legs warm. I just got them so I'm not sure how long they will last. I would definitely but these socks again.

Experience: Great lightweight sock, I wear it even in the coldest weather, some people may find it too light. I wear several different kinds of Burton socks, and these are the only pair without holes in the heel.
