  • Pros:  Tech Advances, Looks Awesome,
  • Cons:  Heavy, toe strap doesn't conform ,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I demo'd this binding for a weekend at keystone and breckenridge. I was using the older model with the bamboo highback and the green base. First off they look awesome. 90% of snowboarding is looking cool right? so this is a good start. I also really appreciate the advances that they are trying to make with the good vibes base plate and tool free adjustment. However i dont know if it really creates that significant of a difference. I thought i felt a difference with the base plate but I have started to believe that is really just placebo effect. The tool free adjustment isnt for me also. I prefer the extra effort and it provides you with a little more confidence that it wont slip out. Also i found that the toe strap doesn't fit as snug as i would like. i just felt there was a dead spot and it just couldnt quite grip well enough. In my opinion, the binding also felt a bit bulky and heavy compared to my rome traga and burton customs. I appreciate the steps that they are taking to push binding tech but just felt it really didnt provide the same kind effects as the burton est system, which i couldnt help but compare it to. Overall though in standard binding performance I would rate it as a 4 outta 5 i was just nit picking. I heard forum is going under so if you can find these for a good deal and need bindings i would recommend them. I would look to spend under 140 for them if i was shopping.

  • Pros:  Control, Flex,
  • Cons:  Not made for large boots,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I love these bindings but I had to get new boots dropped down to 11.5 instead of 12s to ride them, the boots are molded so it's not too much of a pain. The flex and control on these were above what I expected. I thought they would help mainly on park riding but last season's ice-fest of terrible no snow ended up being a great proving ground for these as well as the Palmer Burn I have. I tore these things up, they are awesome, I just wish the straps were just a little larger to accomodate my clod hoppers.

  • Pros:  Good for air,
  • Cons:  None,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These bindings are great. The layer of cushion really helps to dampened the landings when you hit those jumps. The straps easily tighten and releases quickly.

  • Pros:  no pressure point, great padding, responsive
  • Cons:  straps come unscrewed easily,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   Ill start with the single negative. The screws dont stay in after a few days of riding. This is not an issue as long as you make sure theyre tightened at the beginning of every day. I put the bindings on my forum destroyer and they were a great match. Going off any size jump is no problem as they are so padded that stomping the landing wont be an issue. The straps are incredible as they are pretty much identical to any of the burton straps out there. I can not notice any difference between the hinge disk and normal disks which also isnt a big deal to me

  • Pros:  Responsive., Pretty tough. ,
  • Cons:  Nothing special. ,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I have these bindings on my dc ply and they rock! very responsive, keep ur foot in tight, very comfortable (except at first), about mid flex, doesn't hurt when absolutely stomping a trick, highbacks are perfect, and they are fairly light. not flux binding light but i thought they would be heavier, and the toe cap fits perfectly! (i have thirty two ft boots). They have held up so far in the park(put about 35 days on them) They look killer too. i recommend these bindings totally worth the price.

  • Pros:  Get the most out of your board, Feel, no pressure points, Takes big landings easily
  • Cons:  Paint chips off on heel cup, not the lightest binding,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I own the debut model year of this binding (I forget if thats 2010 or 2011) but I have to say this binding helped me find new areas of flex and pop in my boards that I thought were dead. I love what forum is doing with the split binding and hinge disc technology. It creates such a fluid feel throughout the bottom of the board. I know some people are going to ask, does that really create a difference? and I have to say, it does. Riding is just more fun period. You feel so much more connected with your board and with the snow underfoot but without sacrificing padding. But I do have a complaint, like I said, I love the technology, I love what they're doing, but I think that so much more can be done with this tech. I think that the binding could be much lighter, could have less material on it. All in all, a great binding and a new experience, but sometimes you might find yourself thinking it could do just a little more.
