Likes: I use my Marmot gear more as 'outdoor' gear that specifically for snowboarding - and in that regard, it does the job well.

Likes: Back in my ski-only days I wore Marmot jackets and pants. Great top quality ski wear. Most of their items have high waterproof/breathability ratings. Warm and lightweight.

Likes: marmot makes great base layers and outerwear, though mostly for skiers and hikers, but good stuff nonetheless

Likes: I picked up a Marmot full zip fleece from a TJ Maxx last winter. I have loved this jacket since day one. It's been versatile enough to wear in Wisconsin from early March to early May.
Dislikes: I would have preferred a hood but it was unavailable in the red color I got at the store at the time.

Likes: one of the FIRST companies to adopt the polartec neoshell, a shell that's touted to be BETTER and more breathable than goretex, it's pretty hard NOT to call this company innovative. the rest of their lineup is solid and within the regular price points of most other companies. as for durability, most of their gear is designed for mountaineering so you should expect to get a lot of life out of it.

Likes: A wonderul brand for many outdoor activities. I have one of their two person tents that fits perfectly in any backpack I have, but mainly my ruck sack for the military is what I keep it in. Instead of having a bunch of other stuff to carry i just pack this and it keeps me completely out of the elements in a secure tent. Also all of the local stores near me have started carrying their jackets and other winter wear which is very stylish and warm with many features. I love how most of the jackets have a powder skirt as well. They make numerous great products so check your local store for them.
Dislikes: Some items are over priced.

Likes: Really an amazing brand. I just bought a Marmot jacket for my friend and it was one that I myself have wanted for a long time. Marmot makes very well constructed gear that lasts a while and gets the job done. I love their jackets because of the quality and waterproofness of them. Yes I believe I have invented a new word "waterproofness" its a lot of what I look for in a jacket since we live in the north wet and I can certainly say that I've found it in Marmot. Very nice brand.

Likes: Great company involving mountaineering with high quality products (which is why it's a bit pricey). I don't usually see it on the mountain but my 2-in-1 Winter jacket kept me warm the entire time on the mountain. Good fill and the fleece lining really blocked the wind.

Likes: Marmot is quality tech product made by what I perceive to be a ver solid mountaineering clothing company. Not generally stuff that you're going to see the average snowboarding rocking on the bunny slope, but people who are in the mountains and look for quality product generally don't turn Marmot away. May often be a bit of a premium price but it is well worth it to get dependable gear. I have a hard shell and a few miscellaneous items, but my favorite piece of Marmot gear is one of my favorite pieces of any gear -- the driclime windshirt. It's a simple piece (synthetic fleece insulation under a synthetic poly shell, with a zipper pocket and pit vents) but it does soo much, and it's lasted a very long time. I think this is indicative of the quality, innovative (yet simple?) gear you get from Marmot.
Dislikes: It is often a bit pricey, but OK to pay more for quality gear.
