Pros: waterproof, stiff, comfortable
Cons: pricy,

Experience: I'm fairly new to using high ankle boots, I always preferred low ankles for flexibility. Wearing these has changed my perspective. I have used these on backpacking trips in the sierras and warmer areas near the coast in norcal. They rock because you don't have to pay much attention to where you step in comparison to less stiff boots; it's kind of a HULK-SMASH mentality when trudging through rough stuff or muck. And they're comfy enough to forget they're there, which in my book means everything.
