"Sticky little problem..." 2/28/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride VXN Snowboard Bindings Women's
  • Pros:  They hold your feet to the board., Price,
  • Cons:  Won't ever let your feet OFF the board., Color has gotten a little muddy over time,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   First, I just want to clearly state that these are decent bindings for the price. They hold well and seem decently sturdy. However, be warned that you could be spending a while at the bottom trying to get your foot unhooked. Be sure that if you're buying these that your boot size isn't at the higher end of the sizes, or else you will have a hell of a time getting unstrapped.

"Great for beginners" 1/7/2011

  • Pros:  Good Price, Control,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   I've bought two pairs of this binding for 2 different girls i was helping with snowboarding. When these bindings go on sale you can get them for a really good price. I have not had any issues with with either binding breaking. Ride does offer warranty on certain parts of the binding, i believe the base plate as well as the heel cup. Their customrer service can also help you to replace any other parts should they break. But i have noticed the difficulty in getting out of their bindings. I've had to help both girls on numerous occasion out of their bindings as it fails to release. The control and the comfort over regular rental bindings and the price however is more than worth this minor nusaince.

"BEST EVER" 2/24/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride VXN Snowboard Bindings Women's
  • Pros:  Forgiving during impacts, Can handle any terrain, Extremely adjustable
  • Cons:  Sometimes difficult to remove straps, Baseplate and/or wedge cushion loosens,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   The bindings in this review are the ones that have the mesh front strap and wedge cushion over the baseplate. I ride three to five days a week and all over the mountain from park to steep groomers to tree runs. These bindings are excellent in all conditions. I also broke my knee in half a couple of seasons ago so I spend a lot of time finding bindings that offer excellent support with a lot of give. These are perfect if you have any lower body or back injuries. They make park/backcountry landings less stressful on your joints whether you have been injured or not. They are also extremely adjustable. Most of the pieces come apart simply and fairly easily so you can find YOUR perfect fit for YOUR specific boot/ride style. The rubber net in the front also forms to your specific boot shape and flexes with your weight distribution as you ride/land/spin/etc. That being said the straps do get jammed once in a while but only while putting them on/off. They have never given me problems while riding. After riding for a while (maybe 30-50 hrs of riding) the baseplate and/or the wedge cushion get loose, but it's a quick stop to the tool bench. One other thing is that the net in front collects snow which eventually gets really cold. You can just brush the snow away though. Overall, I love these bindings and will probably buy the new ones next season....unless I find something better ;)

"Good beginner bindings" 2/23/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Ride VXN Snowboard Bindings Women's
  • Pros:  Good for beginners, Price,
  • Cons:  Snapped upon impact,
  • Flex:  soft

Experience:   Good beginner bindings for the price but the back plastic snapped after 1 season of use, when landing after a jump. Very random. Switched to Lexas and can feel the difference but I think these were good bindings to start with.

  • Name: Ride VXN Snowboard Bindings Women's
  • Pros:  cheap, comfy, easy to put together.
  • Cons:  discoloration, brake easy, slow responsive
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   before I be to harsh on these note that you get what you pay for i guess. Rode these from beginer for 2 1/2 years. Found them easy to install and adjust ankle strap is really comfy and they are cheap. They look nice until they get dirty and the glue goes yellow hard to keep. Also after a season of riding found that my straps wern't clicking in properly because of the buckles grinded right down. My buckles always became super loose and if I stomped my board to hard the toe strap actually would pull straight off. The riding feel was comfy but not good at absorbing your landing (although does the trick for the price ) The response is slow so really have to get on your toes and throw you shoulders around to get good carving going on. these are great for beginer bindings, cheap, comfy and if you dont go to hard shouldnt fall apart for a while.

"Sweet bindings" 8/24/2011

  • Name: Ride VXN Snowboard Bindings Women's
  • Pros:  Comfortable, Can bind them tight, wedgie!
  • Cons:  Difficult to release,
  • Flex:  mid

Experience:   These are my second pair of bindings and they came a long way from my old ones. I have a Wedgie on mine and love that feature. They are comfotable and don't dig in any weird spots. The only Con is that they are difficult to release, sometimes I have a really hard time of getting the strap to unlock. Otherwise, I love them and would recommend them.

"Tough to get off" 2/24/2011

  • Name: Ride VXN Snowboard Bindings Women's
  • Pros:  Price, Simplicity of style,
  • Cons:  Tough to get off, Limited adjustments, Glue discolors on white padding

Experience:   I agree with other reviewers, these are a beginner binding. I had them for a while and yes, they did the trick but nothing fancy about these. They were incredibly tough to take off and I found myself getting frustrated with them.

"Nice, but..." 11/12/2010
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Ride VXN Snowboard Bindings Women's
  • Pros:  Board/binding integ.,
  • Cons:  Slippage!! eerrr!!, Exit,

Experience:   I took these bindings out last season. Was thinking of buying them from a store so demo'd a pair for a few days. At first I was very very excited. Loved the board binding integration. Felt a lot different to my Lexas. They sit a lot closer to the board and I felt much more 'at one'. Also easier to press. However, I found trying to exit from the bindings was very tricky. My friend who only ever rides with ride told me to get hard (and that it's normal). But really... busting my but' to get out is so not worth it. Iv'e never had to exert so much effort for other bindings :) Also found that sometimes as I was riding they'd come apart on their own accord. Go figure. I rathered the safety of my Lexas so just stuck to them. Let down... perhaps the neweys are better?
