Sierra Says: Rome sings their Anthem for another season. With a load of new tech this year, the Anthem continues to be a power-house in the aggressive all-mountain board lineup. Ultra responsive and light beyond feasibility, this board continues to shine on jumps, rocks, carves and pow. The Anthem is the ultimate board for the hard all-mountain rider.

Rome Says: Whether you are dropping in off the top of Mammoth, Chamonix, Niseko or Portillo, the all-new Anthem will take you all the way to the bottom with added power, float and quickness. Drop a cliff, slash a wave, throw a method, or lay a carve. Do it all. The new PressurePop Technology and PowerBars are laid in V patterns to radiate energy into the contact points. The Hybrid camber line increases lift in powder while still giving edge control through the arc of a turn.

SinterSpeed Base- Sintered Bases are the fastest and need to be waxed almost every time

PressurePop Technology: Kevlar V-Kevlar transfers power and reduces vibration. We told you this board specializes in carving!

PowerBar: Carbon V- Carbon designed to increase power between turns.

Kevlar Impact Plates- These are eco-friendly plates that add more support under your bindings so your board does not break.

Mountain Edge Bevel- -1/-1 which provides maximum edge grip.

Pros: light weight, fast,
Cons: feel is dull, pop is meh,

Experience: I'm really not all that thrilled after two days on this board. It feels very sloppy & dull. I got this is the hybrid tech hoping for some improved float in powder and it was sadly lacking there as well. Pop on the board didn't live up to what I have experienced on my Rome Riff or during a demo day on an Agent. The whole weekend this board just left me wanting more out of it. I honestly thought my old 2007 Forum Raider did a much better job in all respects, and it's the exact same size (163w). Maybe this board will grow on me over the coming years as I hold onto my board for a few seasons but after a few days on this board, I'm not sure I'd reach for it out of my quiver. This has me totally confused as I'm usually a big fan of Rome but this board is just not for me. It was really fast when I could coax some life out of it, edge hold was decent but what you'd hope for.

Cons: None.....yet,

Experience: I love this board! I have a need for speed and this board more than satisfies. Have ridden the board for 3 days and cannot wait to get back up the mountain again. Weither testing your nerve at high speeds, carving, jumping, powder days or even back country you will be pleased you purchased this board! I would highly recommend to anyone.

Pros: Hybrid camber, Stiff construction with loads of pop, Strong edge hold on all terrain

Experience: I rode this board in March 2010 at Stowe Mountain resort. I matched this up with a pair of 390 Boss bindings and my normal boots. The conditions would be described as ice. No snow to speak of, just ice. I got on the lift with Mike from Rome and we took off down the mountain (since this was where he rode most days) at break neck speeds. I'd never ridden Stowe before, but was impressed with how much response I got from the board. The edge never slipped on the ice and I could power through carves at will. The 390 Boss' may have been a touch on the soft side for the board, but it didn't matter as the combo handled everything I threw at it. If you like riding Burton's Balance or Supermodel, this board is for you.
