  • Name: 2012 Rome Artifact Rocker Snowboard Men's
  • Skill:  Intermediate
  • Pros:  As flexible as Vanessa Lane, Foot sex with butter, Easy turn initiation
  • Cons:  Wishy-washy, Useful only on good snow, Pretty much worthless everywhere else

Experience:   This is the softest board I have ever used, pressing like nothing before. From standing still on flat ground, I have the nose more than 2 feet in the air and got it on video... The rocker profile of the board is actually rather mellow, unlike the Signal Park Rocker. It's still enough to make turn initiation easy and allow tonnes of flex. The Quickrip sidecut that they added last year makes it a little *too* sensitive to turn. The softness and profile combine to make it very forgiving to jib around. So if you're not straight coming off a jib, it's no big deal. However, coming down from ramps is a weakness since it likes to wash out; this is where the K2 WWW and most other jib boards do better. Ground tricks, spins, press, and tail blocks are what the Artifact Rocker excels at, but it sorely lacks pop to do more acrobatic stuff. I can't honestly recommend this to beginners because it is too squirrelly to ride at anything but parking lot speeds, and it's not that great everywhere else on the mountain. It works well only on good, groomed snow, otherwise it's like riding a towel-- it's all over the place. The Artifact Rocker is a somewhat extreme type of jib board, outdone only by the Signal Park Rocker for the title of most absurd on the market. K2 WWW is another buttery jibber, but a more well-rounded and a better choice for most people.

  • Pros:  super flexie , good edge hold, jibbing
  • Cons:  washes out easily on jumps,

Experience:   I demo'd this board last season and had to buy one!! Super super fun board, really soft but still has fantastic edge hold at top speeds. This is my only board so I use it for all mountain shredding and have no problems. Little bit washy with jump landing but thats to be expected with such a soft board!!

advice from me... use more detail, describe the board more, describe yourself and what you look for in the board. describe how the board feels to you and your general preferences toward snowboarding. all very useful for other people to read. do it that way and you won't have to worry about the guys in orange or red cracking down on you.
