Name: 2012 Rossignol Experience Magtek Midwide Snowboard 168 Men's
Skill: Advanced
Pros: Lightweight, Crazy good ice grip, All turn shapes in pow
Cons: Magne bumps not fun on groomers, graphics hideous, odd flatboard tracking

Experience: Many steep runs in the northwest can be total 40+ degree ice on the top followed by untracked fresh, or littered with random ice patches, both of which have scared the hell out of me. I ride really fast, try lots of long widish boards, and none works better for the described conditions better than the Experience. (I have not yet tried the Jones Flagship, but darn near everything else over 166 and wider than 26cm). Crazy fun in pow, and a security blanket to get there. I will buy one, and relegate the previous favorite Prior MFR to it hasn't snowed in a couple of days status. (It's more fun on groomers). The Experience on groomers is a little weird, almost too grabby, and it doesn't want to track straight. Screw groomers. This board is awesome for bombing steeps--I love knowing I can slam on the brakes and scrub speed on any surface. I rode it three days in WHistler this spring--dust on crust, groomers, and POW!
