Sierra Says: Save some money and push the envelope with the Relay Series. It is built for performance, but is not overly responsive so the guys that like to cruise the mountain every now and then can still step into the highly effective Relay-style bindings. As with all Relay bindings, you receive a surf/skate like feel for comfort while not reducing any power transfer from your feet to your bindings. You will have precision when turning but do not have to be aggressive to do so. We recommend this binding for the intermediate to advanced all-mountain freestyle riders that enjoy hitting all the different park-style features that the mountain has to offer. Name: Salomon Relay Series
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, Responsive
Flex: mid

Experience: I'm not so sure about what this new technology is but it's NOT a gimic. The response is super amazing. I can't explain it, it's like the bindings are a literal extension of my ankle. The relay system is hard to explain but most other bindings will make the board respond from the pivot from the pressure point in the highback (say in a heelside turn). The highback in these, helps lift the board toeside from the base of the binder vs. bottom of the highback. The response is insane and the bindings are so comfortable. I've ridden burtons, flows, and rides and these are the best by a long-shot.

Pros: flex, ratchets, tensor system, comfy, cushy, , tool-free strap adjustments, adjustability, , fast fit toe cap, feel
Cons: heavy,
Flex: mid

Experience: the tensor system works. requires less aggressiveness from the rider compare to regular bindings to get the same level of response while still providing extreme dampering and comfort. the straps are very soft and comfy. there's def. enough padding to keep me riding all day and more, but still providing good board feel. there's not as many adjustments compare to unions but enough to make any rider satisfy including high back adjustment, forward lean, and tool free strap adjustments. the tensor system adds weight to the bindings is the only knock on them. great all-mtn. binding for pow to park.

Pros: Cushioned Ankle Strap, Cushioned Foot Bed, Adjustable Heel Cup
Cons: Toe Strap,

Experience: I have rocked some 07 relay xlt's for 2 seasons now, throwing down over 180 days. These bindings are made to last. I just picked up some 10-11 relay pros and could not be more stoked on how much these badboys have been upgraded. New Features are much much better ratchets(they are way more solid), ridiculously soft ankle strap, a little bit better toe strap(still a toe cap / over the top hybrid, just pick one Salomon!), Highbacks have parallel rotation adjustment (this fact alone should sell these), Killer graphics (Especially with a salomon grip), and a nice full footbed. Im still rocking my 07s on my big pow board, and now Ive got the 10s on my pipe deck. Could not be any better!

Experience: The relays definitely give a surfing feel with the relay system and soft heel cup. Toe straps came undone during many occasions, especially when boarding aggressively.
