Likes: Salomon is a great company that produces great products. I have no experience with any of the ski equipment, besides that of what I have seen and heard. But I know from word of mouth and popularity, Salomon is one of the leading brands among skiers. As far as snowboarding goes, Salomon also produces some quality gear. Not really a leading brand among snowboarders, but they still have respect. The Salomon boots I own are of very good quality. They fit true to size and are very warm. Very well made and very comfortable. It seems that over the years Salomon boots have become more and more popular. And not because of a trend or fad, but because they are good, solid performing boots. I have never owned a Salomon board, but I would definitely consider it. I don't see why not. Overall, I say Salomon is a good company that is trustworthy. Not really the "coolest" brand, but decent nonetheless.
Dislikes: The Salomon boots I bought have a very large foot print. The boots fit perfectly for me, but the outer shell was very big. So big in fact, I had to adjust my bindings to the largest settings. And the boots are only a size 11.5. The boots are the 2012 Salomon Dialogue. If I decide to purchase Salomon boots in the future I will make sure the outer shell is an acceptable size. I'm not really sure if Salomon produces boots with shell shrinkage foot print reduction technology, but they should.

Likes: Great boards, boots and decent bindings. Anyone on here saying their boards are low quality obviously has never ridden their boards lately. Their line is awesome now. I've owned a few boards and the upper echelon of their line is FANTASTIC. They know what they're doing with the Official and Grip. If you can afford them, they won't let you down. The Sabotage and Drift Rocker are fun playful sticks too. Their boots are very very nice and comfortable. The speed lacing is decent. Bindings leave something to be desired...I probably wouldn't personally seek them out due to their straps are a bit hard for my liking.
Dislikes: Binding straps harder, overlooked big time by snowboarders and overrated by skiers.

Likes: I can speak for both Salo's ski and snowboard lines. Good quality and superior comfort. Great support in their boots, and i've heard they are exceptional for those of us with high arches.
Dislikes: They are a bit overplayed in the ski world... 8/10 skiers out my way are on salo's.

Likes: This review is for Salomon ski products only as I have no experience with their snowboarding gear. I used Salomon ski's last season while attempting to learn to ski and they were pretty nice. My dad also used Salomon ski's and boots and they held up nicely for him over the years. Quality product, great selection, affordable price and gear for all levels of skiers from beginners to experts.

I own the Salomon Faction Boots, 2011, and absolutely loved them. Used them for about 25 days on the mountain, until there was an issue with the speed lacing system not staying tight. However, for 2012, they redesigned the system and no longer have the issue.
I would recommend this brand to anyone. I've known and seen the brand name around since I was little, and I've never heard anything bad about them. Their boots are super comfortable.
Dislikes: I did try a Salomon board twice, did not like it at all. Not very responsive.

Likes: makers of snowboard, ski, and hiking equipment and it's all quality gear. they don't seem to make any terribly high end boards, when compared to something like burton, but it's still durable and nice to have, even for a progressing rider. also, their hiking boots are INCREDIBLY comfortable

Likes: My girlfriend has the Salomon Lark and LOVES it. Very fast board and very stylish too with great graphics. Paired it with Burton bindings and they paired perfectly. Great setup.
Dislikes: No complaints. Sometimes the board will knick easily depending on where you ride.

Likes: Salomon is great at incorporating great tech into their products. Their boots are generally softer than other companies out there, but they work great for park and are really comfortable. I own dialogue boots with a speed lace system and don't think I'll ever go back to traditional lace-ups again.
Dislikes: The comapny seems more geared towards utility rather than appearance. a lot of their graphics and products look kinda dull compared to other brands.

Likes: My entire set up is made by Salomon. Board, bindings and boots. I didn't intentionally buy all Salomon products on purpose, it just happened to be the best products I could find. Boots are extremely comfortable and my board (Drift 2009) is my favorite board so far. I've got the Salomon Relay bindings and those things are sure responsive and durable.
Dislikes: Not many stores carry the high end products from Salomon. I can't say anything bad about the gear I have.

Likes: I own the Salomon Ranger helmet and it's saved me from getting my bell rung a number of times. Mates up perfectly with my Smith I/Os. Ear flaps keep my ears nice and warm and the vents up top keep from getting too toasty.
Dislikes: Ear flaps make it a bit hard to hear.

Salomon may be a little behind, tech wise, but their products are very solid and durable.
They make the best boots in the industry and six years later, I'm still riding the same bindings(although fitted with cap straps).
Dislikes: Boards are a bit heavy. Binding ratchets aren't the smoothest.

Dislikes: Freeride boards are the stiffest I've every felt. Even some of their freestyle boards you can't even ollie. Bindings are good ...except straps are antiquated. Lower end boots have the worst lacing system.

Likes: I have had these skis for about 6-7 years now and they are still in perfect condition. I ski as much as I possibly can (not necessarily in the greatest conditions either) and they have never given me a problem.

Likes: I have always felt that Salomon is the best boot making company around. They have a great supportive fit and comfortable design to give you response all day long. I picked up the 08 Salomon Special and instantly fell in love with it. I have noticed that Salomon makes some of the fastest boards in the market because their bases hold wax long and reduce static friction, and with ERA technology you have one board that can rip it everywhere, whether your going fast or slow. I never thought id like a Salomon board but once i ripped it on the Special i will never think that again. Durable, responsive, versatile, and very fast are terms i would correlate Salomon boards with.

Likes: What I most like about Salomon is their boots. They do fit a little on the narrow side, but it works great for me. I feel they are one of the elite boot companies in the industry. As for boards, their lineup is pretty consistent... they are ride very well. I personally think the Special is one of the top all-mountain snowboards in that price range and category. I would recommend checking out some Salomon gear this winter.

Likes: The first thing that comes to mind when I think about Salomon is comfort. There boots have one of the best fits out of any brand I've worn, there boards are smooth, predictable, and fast, and there bindings are responsive, light, and durable. Basically, a Salomon setup is going to be easy to ride which means that your day is that much more fun!
Dislikes: How long the gear lasts.. I feel bad replacing it cuz its still in good shape!
