"The Platinum Twinza, which is named after a twin finned “fish” type surfboard, offers all you could ever ask of the ultimate powder machine. The Double Barrel channel is set back on the Twinza and gets gradually wider in the tail, loosening the flex for softer snow conditions. The tail is tapered and sinks in deep snow while the big floaty nose allows you to plane to the top of even the deepest powder. The Twinza is meant to be ridden 4-6cm smaller than your normal board, thanks to the increased surface area which allows you to carry all the speed you will ever need and it will still turn on a dime! The Platinum Twinza also performs well on groomers by initiating quick turns with amazing edge hold, thanks to a triple sidecut combo with a tighter radius hook in the tail. If you are ready to eliminate that nasty back leg burn and trade in your card to the Over The Bars Club, this board is for you. The Twinza will provide the ultimate floatation, while taking all the work out of riding the deepest pow."

Name: Santa Cruz Twinza Platinum Snowboard Men's

Pros: Good Side Cut , Great Edge Hold , Versatile
Cons: Sizing Specs are not calibrated , Base is not all that fast , Heavy

Experience: I'm a big mountain rider and like all types of terrain; this board will take you everywhere and give you the confidence to tackle anything; in fact, it feels like there aren't enough obstacles that can shake you off when your riding the board. My last boards were a Burton Custom (164)and a Prior (165). The carving on this board is not as smooth but it is stronger even with a shorter board (159). Santa Cruz claims that because of the unique shape of the board that a smaller board can be used with equal results in Powder - this, I am afraid is not the case, Even with the stance naturally set back, because the board is so stiff, it is harder to get it to float. The stiffness comes into play again in the park where I had to adjust but it was a quick learning curve and with the exception of buttering and all that jibber stuff, this baby can rock it. In fact, I've never felt surer in my landings.... its like this board cant get enough speed or intensity. this is my go-to board now - though I think I would better off with another board for Powder days but since I am on the east coast now; what's the point. Lastly, Santa Cruz has some little golf ball surface divot thing going on that is supposed to make the board go fast but, so far this board always needs to be fully/freshly waxed in order to run properly and I'm thinking a restructuring of the base might be in order.

Pros: Fast Base, Stiff flex for speed,
Cons: heavier than my burton 7,

Experience: My brother owns this board and I rode it for two weeks up in northstar. The board rocks! The base on this board is slicker than my burton 7 (which are both sintered). I recommend this board to someone who is looking for a board used for speed and control. I love riding this board with his burton customs. The board did not have any chatter on the ice. Two thumbs up!
