Key Features of the Signal Park Rocker Light Snowboard:
Signal's own Three-Stage Park Rocker's unique design: Stage One is continuous contact. This creates a level board through the bindings. It allows you to hold an edge without catching one. Stage One acts a as small board when you stand flat over this section. Stage Two rolls up ten degrees into Stage Three, the 'flat spot'. Stage Two creates a pivot point when transferring from the level - or flat - area between the bindings and the 'flat spot' of Stage Three. Stage Two also acts as a secondary contact point when you are carving
Standard Profile Poplar Core: thicker between the feet and tapers out as it reaches the nose and tail. There is no need for extra tapering as the nose and tail are already in the air because of the Rocker that starts at your feet

Name: 2012 Signal Park Rocker Light Snowboard Men's
Skill: Intermediate
Pros: Very soft, very forgiving, Insanely fun board to butter, Reasonable value for what you pay
Cons: Base pretty ordinary, a very lose ride at higher speeds, Useless outside the park

Experience: I rode this one for a weekend this season to get a feel for the park rocker series. This one isn't nearly as crazy as the old park rocker but it is still pretty extreme for a reverse camber board. The camber on these uses three zones and when you press it you can really feel it lock into each zone. It is a pretty out there idea but it makes it very easy to really press the hell out of it and once you know the sweet spots you can do entire runs on the tail or nose. It is great fun to play around on and butters and presses are easy on this because it is so soft but the downside is that the pop is a little bit underwhelming. I also found that the base was hard to get real speed out of when you needed it. When you do pick up some speed it is a very loose ride, but that is pretty typical of a reverse camber board, especially one with such an extreme camber. I used this on a weekend with huge dumps of powder and the biggest problem was that it just flexed and put me over the handlebars as soon as it hit anything knee deep. It isn't built to be an all mountain board so it shouldn't be surprising but nobody should kid themselves that this is anything but a park board. If you want to hit the whole mountain this is not the board for you. Where this board shines is in the park though. It is light, sturdy, forgiving and soft. If you stick to the park the weaknesses of this board aren't weaknesses at all. You don't need a quick base to haul ass in the park and that flex and forgiving ride make tricks easier than they should be. The quality of the board is pretty good considering the comparatively low price. For what you pay for this you get something that is pretty decent quality and really does tick all the boxes for a nice park board. As long as you don't expect much more you won't be disappointed.
