"Great for casual listeninig" 4/18/2013
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (1) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds w/ Mic
  • Pros:  Solid Construction, Good sound quality, Solid bass
  • Cons:  Heavy,

Experience:   I personally love these headphones. You may be able to get slightly better sound quality shelling out over $100 for some prime brand in-ears, but you won't find a better price to quality ratio. Clear mids, crisp highs, and pretty robust lows. They are a little heavy for use while riding and I found myself constantly trying to get a more secure fit, but they are great for just walking around the house/chilling. Takeaway: Great in-ear headphone for most uses but you may want to look at other options for a sport headphone.

"Overall Quality Headphones" 2/22/2012
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds w/ Mic
  • Pros:  Good looks, Amazing sound quality,
  • Cons:  Only lasted a year,

Experience:   The headphones look amazing and produce stellar sound quality for the price The one thing that i didnt like was the fact that they only lasted 1 year with average use. The headphones have good base and the vocals are good while offering good noise canceling ability. The hardware is heavy duty and i would recomend these headphones to a friend.

"Stiff wires didn't fit/feel great" 12/11/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds
  • Pros:  Fair Quality, Multiple earbud sizes, Solid build
  • Cons:  Metal buds get cold , Wires somewhat stiff - pulled out of ear,

Experience:   Yes these are more solidly built than the 50/50 or smokin buds, but something about the more sturdy wires made them more stiff and didn't give/flex well when in my ear. This resulted in the buds coming out of my ear b/c of the wire. Yes I did change the buds to better fit my ears. It is something that only happened with these since I have had a couple of the smokin buds and 50/50's. One obvious point, but something you might not think of is that they are made of metal, so if they are not covered under a beanie, or left our while on lunch break, the metal will get cold due to the surrounding temps. An additional minor thing to think about. This is built sturdy, and it can take a good beating.

"Quality/Price=Awesome" 11/17/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds w/ Mic
  • Pros:  Good Sound for an earphone, Very durable, affordable
  • Cons:  cord length too short,

Experience:   These are my favorite earphones. They've got good sound quality for an earphone, they've lasted me a very longtime even though I've got the somewhat primitive habit of chewing on them. The price isn't the cheapest you'll see... but I keep a pair at work and a pair at home and I wish I had sprung for the FMJ's before going through 2 pairs of ~$25 headphones before deciding I was a Private Pyle kinda guy.

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds w/ Mic
  • Pros:  Color,
  • Cons:  price, sound quality, comfortability

Experience:   Got these bad boys hoping they were going to be good but just the opposite. They fall out of your ears easily and the quality that comes out of it is not good at all. Its expensive to so i hoping for something better.

"Decent, not good for small ears" 1/20/2011
Helpful Review?   (1) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds w/ Mic
  • Pros:  Great sound quality, blocks outside noise, durable & lots of options
  • Cons:  does not stay in my ear, painful to put in my ear (my bad?),

Experience:   these are great! although these are the first in-ear earphones i've used, they are pretty decent despite their pains..i dont think i'm the greatest at putting them in my tiny earholes, but the sound quality is AMAZING! they block out virtually any other noise in the background! great buds.

"Good sound Quality/kinda bulky" 2/25/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds w/ Mic
  • Pros:  Great Sound,
  • Cons:  Doesn't fit well under helmet, Breakage,

Experience:   Got a pair of these to replace my Skullcandy Asym headphone. Not nearly as low profile so they didn't fit well with my helmet on, started to hurt my ears. Good sound quality but after only 3 weeks of use the broke, thank god Skullcandy has a lifetime warranty

"Great, but not the best for riding" 10/7/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds w/ Mic
  • Pros:  Good Sound, Durable, Lifetime Warranty
  • Cons:  Fall out (snowboarding),

Experience:   I bought these because I needed a pair of in-the-ear headphones for riding park since I usually wear a helmet. Otherwise I wear my icons (over the head). They have great sound and fit well, even for jogging; but they don't stay in the best when snowboarding. The biggest issue is head movement. You're always turning your head when riding which slowly pulls the wire each time and within a few minutes one of them will fall out. If it weren't for this or if you're not using them for boarding, I would recommend them, they're very durable and have great sound.

"Okay I guess" 8/17/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds w/ Mic
  • Pros:  good sound, in line mic, cool color
  • Cons:  buds are heavy, cord gets very stiff when cold, falls out of ear if not perfect fit

Experience:   I would like these buds more if they didn't fall out of your ear so much. They are heavy, and the cord gets very stiff when it is cold outside, which is obviously bad for a snowboarder. The skullcandy 50/50s are a better deal.

"Decent sound, but clumsy" 3/30/2012
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket Earbuds w/ Mic
  • Pros:  Decent sound quality, Compatible with iphone/droid, nice fit with foam inserts
  • Cons:  Wire tangles on everything, Mic catches on everything, adjusting wire can result in hissing noise

Experience:   I got these as a warrantied replacement from my older model (pre-mic) FMJs after the wire mesh covering the speaker fell off. The sound quality with the new model has improved, and the wire insulation itself seems very durable. The mic is a nice bonus for iphones/droids; they are compatible and it does work pretty well in a phone convo. The foam ear holders are very grippy (at least for a year or so). Unfortunately, any excess movement causes the mic to hang up on anything, usually resulting in pulling the left bud out of my ear. The cord, though of high quality, also tends to get hung up when it comes in contact with damp skin. I'm constantly having to adjust it when jogging. This leads me to the third con; when adjusting the phones occasionally make a hissing interference noise. If you're planning on using these buds as a business tool, I can totally see them working out for you. But if you aim to use them as part of an exercise regimen, look elsewhere.
