Experience: This is the most important part when it comes to riding. Wearing a helmet. Nothing is more important than safety. The Helmet has extra cushioning that you can place to your liking. Vents keep your head cool and sweat-free. I recommend this to anyone who needs a helmet

Experience: The Smith Holt is probably the most popular helmet on the market for many good reasons. First off is the style, simple and efficent, nuff said. Second is the ventilation. I have yet to have any issues with my head being too warm or having my goggles fog. The vents in the front brimish area of the helmet do a real good job of allowing air to flow into the vents on the top of goggles, a key to preventing fogging. The Holt, along with all other Smith helmets, comes with many different fit pads to get that custom fit for any head shape. The ear pads are also removable and Smith also offers audio ear pads for those who wish to take that option for their musical needs. For me this helmet doesn't have that clunky feel that a lot of other helmets have, but that is also because the helmet fits me well. I highly recommend this helmet for anybody looking for a simple and effective helmet that does not break the bank.

Pros: Lightweight, Comfortable, Durable, Vents, Clean Minimalistic Design, Compatible with Audio Kit from SkullCandy
Cons: Slight pressure on ears for first 2 days, Little heavier than the Maze,

Experience: This is my first helmet, I tried on a bunch at the local stores in New Zealand before deciding on the Holt. This is a great helmet for any snowboarder who wants something which is great quality and affordable. The only alternative I considered was the Smith Maze which is lighter however it lacks a hard plastic outer shell which I believe makes the Holt more durable. Design: I particularly like the look of this helmet with its clean finish and vents. It features the AirEvac ventilation design which prevents your goggles from fogging. Compatibility: Works well with my Bolle goggles, there was no gap between goggles and helmet. Audio: You have the option to purchase a Skull Candy audiokit Feel: I selected the Medium which was snug but not uncomfortable, after a few runs you barely notice its there. Vents: Vents across the top of the helmet which do a great job of keeping your head cool but not cold. There is no way to close off the vents on cold days but I never found a requirement to.

Experience: Compared to the Bern Watts and the Smith Maze, this helmet is a great deal for the price. While the fit is a tad larger than the Maze, it is a still a comfortable fit (personally I wore it with a thin hat on). It is not too heavy, even with the audio version.

Experience: I purchased the Skullcandy version of this helmet about a month ago. While I do look like I'm ready to be shot out of a canon, I definitely think it could be worse. I was looking for a helmet that had vents but didn't look like a bike helmet, and one that wasn't too army looking. This helmet has the lip around the front to make it a little less of a ball. My Smith Krink goggles work great with it and using them does help reduce the canon ball look. I have to admit that I'm not sure how you're supposed to secure the extra pads into the lining without removing the mesh liner, but the XL fit pretty snuggly on me so I don't think I'll be using much of the extra except the top pad. If you're looking for a helmet with audio in it, I would definitely go for the Skullcandy version. I was skeptical, but the audio sounds really good. We'll have to see how the headphones last...

Experience: This is my first helmet, but for having to use a helmet everyday for work this beats the cheap black diamond helmets we usually use. This is super comfy, though as another reviewer mentioned it does hurt the ears the first couple times you use it, it has broken in now so it is a lot easier on the ears. Otherwise great venting system. The vents above the goggles work wonders truly keeps the goggles from fogging. Keeps your head warm, I never need to put a beanie underneath and i have worn the helmet in -20 F. So i say well done with this Helmet!!!

Experience: This helmet is super comfortable. My hair doesn't get all mangled as it has by other helmets. The padding that comes with it is easy to adjust and the liner can be pulled out to wash after incase you get sweaty on warm days. he venting matches up perfectly with my smith goggles. he only thing I might change would be the placement of the buckle on the chin strap but this is a minor flaw.

Experience: This helmet is perfect. It fits perfectly, protects perfectly, warms perfectly. I tried on every helmet at Dick's Sporting Goods and this one fit my head shape without question. The audio kit keeps my ears warm and the padding inside the helmet is so comfortable. There is nothing wrong with this helmet.
