Pros: Multiple adjusting points, Ventilation for all conditions, Speaker compatible
Cons: May not work with extra large goggles, You look like a cop!! NOT COOL!!, Too many people have them

Experience: So I tried every helmet on that I could find at multiple stores. I weighed the price, comfort level, features and of course how it looked. Most of the helmets out there are comfortable, but they are just so damn ugly looking that I couldn't even think of wearing them all over the mountain. The fit of the Variant Brim is by far the most adjustable. There's a locking system at the base of your neck, sort of like almost all bicycle helmets. That keeps the helmet super snug. I loved the option that I could buy speakers that are in the ear padding. It just plugs into an ipod or mp3 player that you can leave in your pocket. There are tons of vents built in that can be opened or closed while you have your gloves on and keeping the helmet on your head. You will not be disappointed by this helmet.

Cons: Price, Adjustments system cumbersome,

Experience: While you can have most helmets for a cheaper price, the Smith Variant Brim Helmet is well worth it. Not only is the helmet lightweight, but it is also comfortable and nicely crafted. Love the stylish chocolate brown colorway. Only drawback to this helmet is Smith's adjustments system. Not as easily adjustable as the Burton adjustments system.

Experience: i tried on several different helmets this one felt like it fit my head the best it was snug but not too tight. i also like the fact that i can add speakers to the earpads.

Experience: I love the helmet and the micro adjustments offered. great helmet and by far my favorite smith. goggle integration works on many brands of goggles. i/o's fit seamlessly imo
