The split T has been a favorite in the Technine line for years because of its snappy directional flex and the ability to impress the most experienced rider, while still offering new snowboarders a smooth, easy-to-ride board. If you are a shredder with larger feet, the Split T Wide gives you the stable platform that you need with no compromise in turnability. This year the Split T has two graphic offerings--the colorful Paint Splatter graffiti flavor and the classic Old English Baseball design. And for all of you riders who think this board is just for beginners, think again! When MFM first got on the Technine Team, this was his stick of choice.

Name: Technine Split T Snowboard Men's
Skill: Intermediate
Pros: Petty tough board thats hard to kill, Regular camber with great pop and stability, Tidy graphics
Cons: Not responsive at all, Unforgiving , Rubbish base

Experience: This is one of the first boards I owned and it has lasted reasonably well. You can cruise around the mountain on this if you like but it does it's thing best in the park. If you work for it you can get some great pop of these boards and with regular old camber it makes it a great board to stomp landings on big kickers. It handles fine on rails and boxes too but I get my kicks with this thing off big jumps and smooth landings. The biggest failing of this board it that it isn't responsive at all. Every turn and every move you have to work for and it fights back every time. I've had some great times on this board but also had some massive faceplants when I got lazy. The base on this is also extruded rubbish. It is useable but just not enjoayable when you need to haul ass. That said, I beat the hell out of this board and it has been tough as nails. The base may be awful but it is cheap and easy to repair and thats what you want for a cheapo jib board. Certainly a good board to learn on but I wouldn't reccomend it as a beginers board because it is just too unforgiving. I suppose a bonus of this board is that it looks good hanging on the wall in the off-season.
