"Only fleece you'll ever need" 2/20/2013

  • Name: 2013 The North Face Denali Jacket Men's
  • Pros:  Super warm, Wind resistant,
  • Cons:  Kinda hard to wear stuff underneath,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  Somewhat snug

Experience:   Love this thing. It is the warmest fleece jacket I have ever owned. I use it at work when I don't want to wear a heavy coat outside and I rarely get cold. My only complaint is the fit. For me it is a lil snug. Which means I can only really wear tshirts and stuff underneath. Not really enough arm room for a sweater or something. I'm prob just in between sizes though because I was swimming in a large.

"most handsome jacket made" 1/25/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2013 The North Face Denali Jacket Men's
  • Pros:  great looking , warm, breathable
  • Cons:  laundering, matting,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  L
  • Fits Like:  L
  • Description:  tailored

Experience:   I'm on my second denali...it's charcoal/grey and simply the best looking men's jacket I've ever seen (looks like it was tailored just for me). I learned a few things from the first one: don't come in contact with a hot oven (polartec singes easily) and hang dry whenever possible to exponentially extend the loft of polartec. North Face really improved the Denali for 2013. The polartec on my first one was only 200 and wind blew right threw it. Also, the flimsy/flat zipper pulls on my first always came un-knotted and fell off in the washer (the new ones are round and textured, which give them a sturdier knot). I use the denali as a liner under my shell when I go snowboarding, as it's still not quite water or windproof enough for those conditions. Pit zips come in super handy when things heat up...and the zippers are heavy duty and super smooth, so, even with gloves on, they're easy.

"Amazing" 1/5/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2013 The North Face Denali Jacket Men's
  • Pros:  Warm, Comfortable,
  • Cons:  Kind of expensive, Not 100% wind-proof,
  • Fit:  Just right
  • My Size:  M
  • Fits Like:  M
  • Description:  A little bit big, but there's a drawstring at the bottom to make it fit

Experience:   This jacket is simply amazing. It's super warm and is useful whether it's raining or shining. It's nice and comfortable too; it's pretty soft, until you wash it too many times just like any other fleece. The only thing is that if it's really windy, the chill can seep in a little bit. There are two regular pockets and two breast pockets - one with a horizontal zipper and one napoleon style, so there's no shortage of storage space if you need it. It has the pit zips just like most other TNF jackets, so you can wear the jacket even if it's a little warmer. Just open the pit zips and it'll get cooler. In my experience, they're really useful up on the slopes. If you don't fall too much, it gets really warm really fast, so you can use the pit zips to cool down. Finally, it can be zipped into any compatible TNF outer shell jackets, like a lot of their goretex jackets, for extra warmth.
