Experience: if you kick your feet under your board on the lift, you may cut a few stitches where the lace loops are. fret not. i did this, and after looking inside i saw that i was in no danger of loosing a lace loop and they were very well secured. these boots are definitely structurally durable. and ridiculously comfortable too.
