Description: Bagginess around arms

Experience: (15'000 mm waterproof/10'000 gm breathable) The Sevendials is good as either an all-season outer shell, or a mild weather solo jacket. In either case, I never felt like I was too hot until it was 10Â°C outside with the sun out. However, you will need to layer up for cold days because the jacket is not nearly as heat-retaining as advertised! Volcom's heat panels surround your bust, but the arms have NO insulation at all. The cuffs are a bit wonky in that they do not hold onto the gloves very well unless you're wearing gloves with very chunky wrist cuffs. The pockets are laid out sensibly and easy to reach and there's a nifty elastic passholder sewn directly into the jacket. I highly recommend wearing Volcom pants with the jacket in order to zip the powder skirt together. Volcom jackets are slightly loose- and long-fitting, so you will need to use a belt in your zipped pants if you don't want them dragging the jacket down like a weight. As per typical Volcom, the jacket material and assembly quality are very good. Having said that, I have one recurring annoyance with the Sevendials, and it is the fabric cover that folds over top of the front zipper... Even when folded down with Velcro, it starts to balloon up and lift away when riding goofy due to the oncoming wind. Either the flap's Velcro was insufficient, or this jacket was simply meant for regular riders.
