"LOVE THEM!" 10/25/2012
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2013 Vonzipper Fishbowl Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  Clear, Never Fog, Awesome Design

Experience:   I freaking love these goggles. I am never ever going back to any other pair of over sized goggles and I know that when you try them out you will feel the same way. I have had a few pairs of Von Zipper goggles over the years, but none of them just blew me away like this pair of fishbowls. They have never fogged up, Never Fallen off, Once I put them on they are on all day and I don't have to mess with them at all, like I do with some of my other goggles. I trust Von Zipper's optics and fog-free construction and these don't disappoint. I usually don't wear a helmet, but these fit just the same with or without. (I have a Red brand helmet. If you always wear a helmet, Then I would recommend you try these on in the store with your helmet just to make sure they are going to fit, because they didn't fit with my Bern helmet. The frame around the lens is pretty thin, so it basically just looks like a big huge lens, which I think is just awesome. I also love the mirror lens, I just think it looks awesome, and that way nobody can see your eyes which is pretty cool too! I would definitely recommend this goggle to all of my friends and you WILL NOT be disappointed with them, but if you are planning on wearing them with a helmet, go into a board shop and try them on with your helmet first!

"freaking huge" 3/17/2012
Helpful Review?   (2) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Vonzipper Fishbowl Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  huge., comfy, flexible
  • Cons:  no sticky on straps,

Experience:   I got these for $19.50 from whiskey militia a few weeks ago, freaking amazing deal, and was so stoked to try them out on the mountain today. Purple Erkel. The good: super lightweight, much lighter than a frames, which i usually use, and much more flexible than them as well. A frames always felt pretty rigid to me, but these flex and form to my face very well. The field of vision is amazing. If i look down, i can see a little bit of frame, side to side, maybe a tiny tiny bit, and up...nothing, just my eyebrows...amazing. i literally forgot they were on until it started raining and got drops on the lens. the foam is comfy. The lens tint is nice from the outside, pretty mirrored on a sunny day, and from the inside, seems to be just about the right tint for an all around lens, not to light, not too dark. it's not dark like fire iridium, but not light like a pink iridium or persimmon. pretty good. the goggles are huge, i look like a boss, and they are so comfortable, more even than a frames on my face. The bad: the optical quality of the lens is not as good as oakley or smith. i always heard that oakley and smith were better than the rest, and i never really believed that you would be able to tell a difference with other companies, but the clarity on the goggles just isn't quite up to the oakleys. with my a frames, i forget i'm looking through a piece of plastic. with these...there are a few aberrations and weird spots, and it just doesn't seem as clear. hard to explain. they're great, just not as good as some others. not enough to worry about or not buy them for though. also, the strap lacks some sticky material to keep the goggles on your helmet. i wish it had that. other than those things, the goggles are top notch. i wouldn't pay 150 for these, but they are sick goggles. i might convert from my a frames to these, i feel like overall, i like them more. just fit better, cooler look, no fog, dope goggles. couldn't be happier, especially for $20.

"Great goggle with excellent vision" 5/7/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Vonzipper Fishbowl Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  excellent vision, comfort, no fogging
  • Cons:  large faces only,

Experience:   I've used this goggle for the past year and I really like it. It's fit is superb for people with large / medium-large sized heads/faces. I've used Smith and Dragon DX's goggles in the past and these blow them away. While they ARE much more expensive, it is worth it. If you're flying down the mountain you want to be able to see where you're going and who's around you. If you're in the park and need to look around to spot your landing these are superior to those which i mentioned earlier. If you want one of the best goggles out there... you should definitely check these out.

"great goggles" 2/5/2013
Helpful Review?   (0) Yes    (0) No

  • Name: 2012 Vonzipper Fishbowl Goggles Men's
  • Pros:  exceptional field of vision, lightweight, does not fog
  • Cons:  may be too large for small to small-medium faces,

Experience:   I have a large face and large head. These are currently my favorite goggles. I've tried several expensive goggles over the past few years (the closest one to the Fishbowl has been the Oakley Crowbars). The field of view is great and I cant imagine switching back to a smaller goggle. The two-layer thermal lens does not fog up. The only con is that this may not be for all face/head shapes and sizes. My friend who has a skinnier head said the goggle was too wide and did not seal well around his cheeks. If you have a large face/head though, these are a must.
