I have a few things in my back yard I have wanted to try for almost 2 years now, but the past 2 winters have been a bust. My calculations are that if we get close to a foot on the ground (can be from different storms) I can do what I want to do in the back.
Currently drawing out plans for a box, but might end up welding a rail instead.

There are a bunch of natural "banks" and with a little shovel work, and the right amount of wetter snow, I could have a hell of a 1/4 pipe in my back yard.

My drop in, only problem is the turn at the bottom. But after that turn it opens up a ton so should till have enough speed to hit something after that turn:

It's hard to tell, but the right side is a good sized hill that is cleared out enough to ride, and at the bottom (to the left) is another embankment. This is why I want a big snow this season, I want to make a 1/4 with a side spine.

And for S&G's, I made a little 30 second vid of the back yard. Once December hits, all these slopes really open up. Most plants are gone, and can see things better.

[TUBE]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZZPFRjxPQU[/TUBE]
