Yeah, I never carry cash either so I never get the discount, but then again my car has a small gas tank anyways.  One of my bro always pays cash though.

Not bad but it has been slowly going up for the past few weeks.

$3.40 for 87 octane at Sam's Club.

$3.47 for Shell and $3.49 for Chevron.

What a waste of money.

But if you're already there shopping then might as well.  Ralph has a deal with Shell gas stations too for discounted gas.

If you take 10 mins to calculate it out I don't think its worth the cost to get the memebership just to go get gas there.. plus if you ever do go..have you seen the lines?!!! they're so long.. 10cars in each pump at least.

gas is back down a little 1.299/L put $20 in the tank the other day.. somewhere around 14-15L.. bah.... used to be a buck a litre

I love it when, due to the size of tank and gas prices that the pump automatically shuts off at $100 before you are done filling.  Makes you feel real good.

at $133.3/L and I need to fill up.. got probably one trip left in the tank.. hate to destroy my fuel pump.

I made this route last year. It's the fastest route to Blue from the west end since you skip all the bullshit on HWY 400 and drive pretty much the same speed anyway. I've gone from Blue Mountain to my driveway in 1 hour 20 minutes before.

Edit: after a little research... since the air is less dense at altitude you can use a lower octane rating because when air/fuel mix is compressed the combination of less dense air and the less compressible (less compressible fuels are more prone to autoignition/ the timing issue) fuel actually allows for comparable compression of 87 octane fuel at low altitude. But if you got a JAG put premium in it no matter what altitude. You spent 100 K on the car best take care of it. If you have a 91 honda civic. well then screw it.

I can't believe the prices have gone so high! and I was hoping it was gonna drop from the 1.25 mark then it went up 3cents and then again to 1.30 by the end of the week.

I can imagine what it'd be like to gas up on premium these days. 2 fillups would cost more than my monthly insurance.

wow that is cheap, I haven't seen less that $3 per gallon here in socal.  I filled up yesterday $3.89 for 87 octane.  My roundtrip from san diego to bear mountain was about $28. a little over $300 miles.

Well thats just perfect I've got a 1/4 tank left and prices are on the high end.. lol

Don't think I'd be able to get out that far to put in gas.

I fill up in some hick towns between Collingwood and Toronto. As low as 1.12 from what I've seen when passing through. Being privately owned, they're just not open 24/7, though.

Thats crazyyyy. Most Americans are stifled with 4 dollar/gallon prices, but most of europe and parts of asia pay 6-9 dollars a gallon  that sucks.

i remember the summer it was 2.07, a few years ago... and i also remember it being 1.80 something as a kid and everyone was freaking out at how "expensive" that was, at the time.

I read an article today on Yahoo that said in parts of the country the gas could go down to around $3/ gallon due to impact of Sandy.  

I heard it was because of Sandy because the east coast won't be needing any gas anytime soon or at least can't.  

 

 

Now that Im back in town I see gas here has gone down a bit.  $3.14 for 87 at generic stations.

And about 3.25 for Chevron os Shell.

but went back up a little today 1.194/L

Yeah, I have  a car but no license for a 2 wheeler yet.  I figure, I could use a 2 wheeler to go around locally and a car to go far distances.  And hey!  Mopeds are very stylish!
