NEVER EVER EVER DO SPEC WORK!!!

They don't have to pay you, they can steal your idea and get someone else to do it for cheaper or do it themselves.

If you want to do it to build your portfolio at least make sure you get a contract before giving them your ideas.

The one where ctoma just mirrored snow on TruSnow was actually pretty legit too haha

I like this one the best, however, instead of writing out "won" in a separate font, I would mirror the "now" from snow and then fill it in with the blue.

absolutely gives it the "movement" in the logo. major backcountry + outdoors cred with the classic mountain illustrations. the typeface is almost there, but can possibly be in an arc?

Very nice improvement. The gradients on the snowflakes hint at a subtle elegance whilst remaining colorful and playful, yet still reminding the viewer of all things shiny and new. The drop shadows make the design "pop" off the screen, edgy but not too in-your-face, well done with those, and with snowflakes three is almost always better than one.

The logo text, however, still leaves a bit to be desired. I'm sure it was an error with the transfer to the site, but the granular drop shadow on the text just doesn't match up with the quality of the one above it. I do appreciate the use of the gradient on the text, very classy, and your commitment to the palindrome should be applauded.

Side note: You could have that domain on wonsnow.com, you'd just need to add a subdomain of moc to get moc.wonsnow.com, which would of course be awesome.

Consider yourself hired although until my designs start selling I can only pay you in Shaun White Stride Whitemint gum (I bought a warehouse full of the stuff thinking it will become a collector's item).  BTW, I'm billing this kid $250/10 minute intervals.  Right now I have 46 minutes invested in his project.  Every minute I'm on this thread reading updates and checking out the competition adds $25 to my bill and I will keep checking until he declares me the winner.

If you're really going to play up the full palindrome on the name, I would consider making the logo symmetric as well.  Creating a whole mirror image.  But what do I know, I'm clearly not on your level of graphic design excellence.

I think your entry is very strong, however I have some critiques. One, your color scheme is monochromatic and doesn't play well on a white background with the light blue, it's somewhat hard to read. Two, I get a slight "TV antenna" vibe from your snowflake, which while intrinsically beautiful could still use some tweaking. Lastly, the font you used doesn't suggest a hip, up-and-coming snowboarding site like wonsnow.com is surely trying to be, and you failed to highlight the palindrome aspect of the name as well. Possibly try un-capitalizing the W or adding a super-sweet mirror effect to the text.

$40 = about 1/2 hr worth of work. Logo design usually starts at about $500 to start (this is where I start)

PS Normally you are going to need several hundred + for a decent logo. Also if you are starting a retail website and all you can afford is $40 for a logo I am not so sure you are on the right track

I know, but OneSnow just seems like a good name to me.  Like a great uniter of a name.  Plus, using the #1  with in logos would be sweet.  Really workable.  Not that wonsnow wouldn't be.  ramble ramble.
 
Yeah, I think if ppl don't know "creatives" they just don't realize what goes into it (time, energy, talent) and consider that that logo is the "face" of a company and reps so much for that company.  Take burton or dc, those are some hard ass logos.  Ppl of all walks of life recognize that dc logo. 
 
@jacquet- start sketching stuff.  I'm am artistically impaired but managed to come up with a pretty sweet logo for my....whatever we are.   Inspiration might surprise you sometimes.

I'm really resisting the urge to go into my art fees rant that stuff like this usually sets off because I don't think people who do this stuff are really that ill intentioned.... but I still don't have to like it.
