Are you all following this noise around Andrew Wiggins, or as I call him, the NEXT Lebron James (except this one goes to college).  Being an NCAA fan more than an NBA fan, I am still excited to watch great one and done's play.  I am super glad he is going to Kansas instead of Kentucky.  I think he just locked Kansas for another Big 12 championship. Those three calls certainly went the wrong way. I about jumped out of my chair with the defensive foul call when that shooter ran under the guy in the air.. wtf! lol

Absolutely! I loved watching every moment of the game! No last minute heroics, but it still never really felt like Michigan was out of it til the final minute. Awesome game, and a hell of a way to end the season :) . Still don't like Pitino, but congrats to his players for the win!

  There were a shit-ton of missed and bad calls... and no calls!!  L-ville did a lot of fouling that wasn't called on 'steals'  .. I didn't know  it was legal to slap, grab and scrape the shitt out of ppl to steal the ball...
  Hancocked should have fouled out... but they called what would have been his 4th foul on another player who was not even close to the play..  And he goes on the score 5 or 6 more pts after he should have fouled out. 
  Really really really crappy officiating for a championship game at any level. I would have liked to see the game play out for real and not have been handed to L-ville by the officials late in the game.

Was a great game, Albrecht turned it on early but I thought he was weak on the defensive end. Then Hancock once again lights it up. Last time I checked Michigan was a 4 point underdog.  Good, I like being the underdog.  That said it's another tough matchup for the Wolverines, Louisville plays a similar zone defense than can disrupt U-M's offense.

I'm rooting for the Blue but do not have a lot of confidence in my prediction:

This town is going nuts over the Women's Louisville team, as two of their players (the Schimmel girls) are from here.It's cool to have local "celebrities", but I don't follow women's hoops. Perhaps I should check out the champ game to see what all the fuss is about.

I agree Michigan gets lucky with Ware out, it means Louisville's guards can't be as aggressive because they don't have the depth if they get into foul trouble. It will still be a great game as both team our tough.

Yah! Coming back from 12 down in the second half is a notable achievement (and conversely a notable choke for the Shockers.. heh. Shockers).
Mich's game tonight was a bit of a microcosm of their regular season! Looked real good early then fell apart late; but were still able to get the job done. I left the house to do some shopping right around the 17 minute mark in the 2nd half, when Mich was up 11. Was surprised to see a 1 point game when i got home!
I'm skipping class to catch the champ game. The term just started, so plenty of time to catch up lol. The Wolverines cannot play like they did tonight and expect to win on Monday. These teams love to play some up-tempo ball, but I imagine a game in the 60's. Everyone's just gotta be so tired by this point!

I missed pretty much all of the games today. Caught the end of the Michigan/Cuse game. I know there's 2 decades difference between the Fab Five and now, but seeing that 30-for-30 story made me wanna cheer for em.
While i really have a distaste for Rick Pitino (he just looks like a greasy scumbag to me), I think it's really cool that Louisville was able to continue their momentum despite last week's injury. I'm tryna find a place to watch a recording of the game, but not having much luck.

A Louisville/Michigan champ game should be a good one. Kudos to anyone who has those two in their bracket haha.

His coach is saying that he has totally changed as a person. Apparently he was the quiet one of the team who barely had anything to say, and now he's outgoing and very open to the public about answering any questions. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise for him and changed him for the better. It just so awesome to see someone have such a tragic incident happen to them and come out a better person and turn it into a positive experience. That is true, and this is something you can theoretically make it back from, but it will take years to get back to the shape he was in before that play.  So his potential for lifetime earnings is so severely decreased.  Maybe the Blazer's will draft him and give him a million dollars anyway.  He'll probably give us more minutes than Oden.

I guess the overall assessment now is that it should be healed in 6 months and in theory, he could see the court again next season.  can't believe that was a clean break.

Speaking of 30-for-30, I watched their episode on the Fab Five over the weekend. Very good story, and the utter racism of UM "traditionalists" was nothing short of shocking. When they were going over a couple of the letters sent in from their alumni, the verbiage used sounded more circa 1960 than 1990. Bball has really come a long way since that time, but it was terribly humbling.

Beilein will have them prepped for the Zone.  I would have said that about Indiana too though.  I think they have solutions, and will turn syracuse over more than other teams have this year.  So I might be slightly on the Michigan side.  However, I think it will be a great game.  And even though I have louisville winning my bracket, I am probably be rooting for Wichita state, because that would be exciting for them to continue their run.

That I jury is such a freak accident cuz it very rarely happens in bball. I don't even know of another incident like it, especially to the extent where the bone is more than 2 inches sticking out of the skin. Very horrible, rehab is going to be painful and a humbling experience for him. Athletics programs have medical coverage similar to workers comp, so yes they will.  I am glad he doesn't have to worry about covering 20% copay in addition to all the work that is going to get done.

^Shocked to see how easily they manufactured shots...and they were dead on, nearly the whole game.  OSU was able to finally turn them over in the second half.

Did not think I would see a marquette/syracuse regional championship after how those teams played the last two weeks of the regular season.

Now my dream of 4 Big Ten teams in the Final Four is dead.  Still got Michigan State locked in for tonight, and Michigan has a swinger's chance.

I agree Miami and Indiana were down early and never made a come back. I couldn't believe how much Indiana struggled with the zone. I thought with 4 or 5 days to prepare Creen would have them ready as they have the shooters to take advantage of a zone.

UCLA hiring Tubby Smith wouldn't be a bad hire at all. I didn't follow Howland enough to comment on that one.
LaSalle vs. Wichita State is just a great story. It doesn't prep either for facing Ohio State in the next round though. An Elite 8 run is a great accomplishment for either school, especially with Wichita St taking out the Zags (frowny face) in the process.


Miami's center (Reggie Johnson) just had some minor knee surgery, and is out tonight against Marquette. Should be back for final-4 games (assuming the Canes make it that far). He hasn't put up huge numbers, and Miami's pretty deep at that position. This might just be it for the Screaming Eagles.

The other thing I am getting a kick out of is these firings.  UCLA and Minnesota both fired good coaches and won't be able to get someone as good now that Smart is staying at VCU.  

I think it would be funny if Minnesota signed Ben Howland, and UCLA signed Tubby Smith.  They would actually be really good for each others program.

I wouldn't count Ohio State as a lock in their game against Zona. The Wildcats have been playing some really good ball this tourney. Though their opponents haven't been proverbial powerhouses, Harvard was definitely riding a high after taking out UNM; Zona extinguished that in a hurry. Add to that they're playing a lot closer to home than the Buckeyes, and I'd give them a fair shot. Ohio State would still likely win 4-5 out of 7 games against Zona, but in a one-and-done format, this is anyone's game.

No one seems to be giving FGCU a chance in their game against Florida. If they continue playing ball like they have, they can (and likely would) beat almost anyone in this tournament. Florida has been destroying their opponents in this tourney, and hasn't been tested with a close game yet. Despite winning both games by 10 points, FGCU certainly had to execute down the stretch to win by those margins. They're certainly athletic enough to hang with the Gators. If they keep it close, I'd really give the edge to FGCU. If the 3's fail to drop for the Eagles though, this one could get ugly real quick.

One thing's for sure..I'm not missing the end of any more Marquette games.. Those guys have stopped short of nothing to keep in this thing... VERY exciting ball!

I was sleeping [off a hangover] when the Ohio State game was on, but I did catch the highlights/recap. That was clutch!

Always rough to be the first #1 seed ousted from the tourney. Zags slow starts in recent years in the tourney have been their achilles heel. They suffered from one last night but were able to recover, until $#!++ing the bed again.
Indiana came very close to being the second #1 upset of the weekend. Temple put on a great show, but just got cold.

Between Harvard and La Salle, many of my brackets are looking nice and red-penned. Yuck!
My work bracket was only hurt into the sweet 16 by K State dropping. Everything else is still looking good (knock on wood). Office team that wins gets a bowling trip paid for by the company (not as good as $$, but I'm all for anything free :D ).

The second round is not unattainable for a number of teams. UCLA's matchup against the Golden Gophers looks to be pretty balanced (though the loss of Jordan Adams doesn't help). Oregon's match against OkSt will be difficult, but Oregon has shown spurts of brilliance this season (that's been coupled with spurts of crapping their pants). If they can cut down on the turnovers (they averaged 13 per game in the pac12 tourney, despite winning it), that could turn out to be competitive.

In any case it's a big step forward from last year when the Buffs were the only Pac team to get in the mix.

I looked at the bracket briefly this afternoon, and was quite disgusted to see UNC only at an 8 seed. Get to face Kansas in the 2nd round...WTG NCAA. Glad to see Duke dropped to a 2 seed at least. I was getting seriously pissed to hear them still in the 1-seed discussions AFTER they got beat by Maryland.

I don't know what I'm going to do with my bracket.


I do recall seeing Roy's jacket in seasons past. It's no longer a "new" story, I just like the colors, I guess haha. "Off" year or not, It's hard for me to ever say UNC as an underdog, ESPECIALLY when tourney time is looming haha. Yes Miami did sweep em for the season, convincingly, but UNC is seldom ill-prepared when March rolls around. I wouldn't argue their 8 seed is too far off what I would've expected. They simply lacked the paramount wins they generally accumulate over the course of a season, and had only one more conference win than NC State did (who also received an 8-seed bid).

Some of the seedings do seem misrepresented, but it looks like it could create some really good matchups early on in the tourney. Oregon as a 12 seed is a certain sleeper, and their matchup with OkSt (in an undeserved 5-spot) should be good, regardless of seeding. Saint Louis has had a great season. It'd be cool for the little school to make a run of it. I could see them surprising anyone in the upper half of that region.

As for your bracket, perhaps you could buy a small turtle, and place lettuce bits on teams equidistant from it. Then whichever he chooses to eat becomes your pick. You'll be a shoe-in to take home the bacon! Are you doing any of the espn/yahoo bracket challenges for $$?

I looked at the bracket briefly this afternoon, and was quite disgusted to see UNC only at an 8 seed. Get to face Kansas in the 2nd round...WTG NCAA. Glad to see Duke dropped to a 2 seed at least. I was getting seriously pissed to hear them still in the 1-seed discussions AFTER they got beat by Maryland.

There was cable at the cabin, but no ESPN (WTF?!), so I missed keeping track of the mid stages of the ACC tourney. Watched a bit of the second half of the Miami/UNC game. UNC has had much more tourney success than Miami, and while I normally cheer for the underdog, I felt myself rooting for Roy Williams' team to pull it out. NC was kinda the ACC underdog this season, so I was either cheering for that, or for Roy's kick-ass checkered jacket.

Wow... The Michigan/Wisconsin game was totally a tale of 2 halves. 17-20 halftime score to 59-68. Crazy!
Wisconsin is always a tough team to figure out in the tourney. It's felt in recent years he's had a buncha big guys who could play excellent D, but would shoot 3 bombs at will. They were a hell of a team when they got hot, but they could just as easily go 4/22 and lose a game of which they determined the pace. Bo Ryan's team looks to be a bit different this year. Only one starter who's over 6'6. But they shot nearly twice as many 3's as UM did today, which leads me to believe the offensive STRUCTURE hasn't changed. While i enjoy watching the Badgers win, I'd give em 1, maybe 2 wins in the tourney before their dependency on the 3 buries em.

I caught a bit of the Valpo conf. championship game yesterday. I didn't realize it had been so long since they had been in the Tourney! I wish em well, though I doubt to see em out of the first round.

My Cougs (who are playing for nothing but what one could barely call bragging rights) face their arch-rival Huskies tonight. UW took both regular season games (winning by 5 in Pullman, and 4 when at home). Very close games, but I'm hoping WSU can avoid the sweep tonight. <3

Does anyone here watch the Selection Sunday shows? I generally like watchin em and having them talk about the teams. But the 6 hours of drudgery where 42 people make their predictions like they're the oracle.
I'll be snowboarding this weekend, so I'll miss it and have to do a lil bit of reading come Monday :).

I am definitely less sure about Florida after this last weekend.  I think Duke is moving it's way into the "obvious pick" position. I'm not so sure about Florida. They've done well, but in a crappy bball conference. They're 4-1 against top 25 teams, but all 4 wins have been at home (the one loss was at Zona). They haven't proven they can win against tough teams on the road/neutral sites, which is really where the elite show their clout.
I wouldn't pick UNM to go terribly far into the tourney, but they could easily be a sweet 16 bid, and possibly an 8. Even in their losses, (with the exception of SDSU, 34 points, wth!), they kept the games competitive. Put em against a team who can control tempo and really slow down the game, and I believe they'd be in trouble.

There doesn't appear to be that outright "obvious" pick this year. Lots of good teams with lot of different looks to the game.

Not just losses within their own conference, but mostly losses to each other.  I think those 4 should be in different regions, just so there is a chance of a conference monopoly at the final four.

Duke is a strong pick.  I am also looking at louisville and florida.

I was thinking of riding Georgetown until Villanova controlled them last game.

^ Michigan State is always a force when the tournament starts, regardless of their record.  Izzo has a way to getting his team to perform at the highest level in March.  Lots of respect for that program.

The Big 10 is a killer conference for basketball.  Look at the losses for Indiana, Michigan State, Michigan, Ohio State - with a few exceptions all of their losses are within the conference.

Outside of the Big 10 I'm picking Duke and Syracuse to go far in the tourney.

That certainly helped! GTown was lookin hot over the last month, too! I'm always inclined to pick those teams that started a bit slow but got on a hot streak in jan/feb. Duke sweeping the rest of their games pretty much would guarantee them the #1 ranking and outright #1 seed.
The #1 poll ranking is just bragging rights. When it comes down to it, it doesn't matter where you rank if you can't win in March.
I'm gonna be boarding for Selection Sunday (Mar. 17), so I'll have to check out the brackets when i get home that evening. No team has shown they're an unstoppable force yet, so we should be lookin at some really good games (and some REALLY ugly brackets) haha.

They are definitely vulnerable.  I think the dance is going to be a lot about matchups.  I am curious as to how much regional placement will play a role.  A lot of great teams have locked it down at home and then been vulnerable on the road.  So how will a "neutral" court play out.

I feel Mark Few's squad has a tendency to play down to their competition at times. Indiana and Duke have a better SOS for the remainder of the season, and either could likely take the reigns. I think the Zags will play better if they lose that #1 ranking before tourney selection begins. Not rooting for them to lose by any means, just would rather see em in a role as the hunter rather than hunted.

I would be torn choosing between Duke and Virginia. I have nothing against UVA as a program, but i ABSOLUTELY DESPISE their head coach, Tony Bennett. Perhaps the MIR space station will fall out of the sky and land on John Paul Jones arena. That'd be a win in my book lol.

Gonzaga's loss at home against Illinois is glaring argument against a #1 seed this year. The only upside was that the Illini were ranked at the time. If the Zags win out, I believe it hard to really say a 2-loss team shouldn't be in the mix, as all the other contenders have some duping losses of their own.

Woah! I was kinda wondering if Minnesota would pull out a win against Indiana last night.. Really wish i could've seen some of that game! Minnesota's not a great team, but they've had some good home wins (and add another here). Better yet, the Zags have a (small) chance of bein #1 at the release of the new polls next week! Hate when games are decided by the zebras! GIven, some teams foul more than others, but a 2.5:1 ratio is OBVIOUSLY a result of bad calling!

WOO! go Zags! #2 if only for a little bit! The upcoming Duke/Miami game is startin to look like a killer match! Hate the DUkies, so i'll be pullin for the Canes all the way! It is kinda cool to see someone OTHER than JUST UNC and Duke playing out for the top of the ACC.

AND that Miami loss to Wake tells me that I have no clue what I am going to do with them in the brackets...just like Louisville, UNC, Cincy, Arizona...and the list goes on.

So I've been sucked into D-II ball....and am loving it actually. Co-worker's hubby is the Booster Club Prez at Fort Lewis College, and I've been their guest the last two weekends to b-ball games.

Friday night was ELECTRIC!!! Took on Metro State, the #1 ranked D-II men's team in the nation...UNDEFEATED....and #17 Fort Lewis spanked them 61-54. Their student body came out in droves (way beyond their typical showing) and that house was rocking!


Last night sucked sweaty balls. Hard to win a game when you're playing 5 on 8. The refs were making so many seriously BS foul calls and kept Regis (7-15) in the game. Anytime FLC would start adding points the refs would start handing possessions over to Regis and feeding the foul count against FLC. Final foul count was 22-12...Regis got 30 foul shots to FLC's 12. Wake Forest put on a great show against Miami today.. which leaves the Zags poised to take the #2 spot. Would love to see the Bulldogs get a "near"-home regional bid. Even at a ranking of #2 though, I don't see em getting a #1 seed. The WCC is by no means favored in the seeding process. Still a #2 spot would put em in good shape :)
The second and third round sites are rather clustered this year. Assuming Mich St. and Indiana keep doing what they're doing, they should be quite pleased with where ever they end up.

I hated having to work late last night.  Following that on my ESPN scorecenter app was the worst.  I hear it was the game of the year.

Despite being a Sparty fan, it is not a hard loss to swallow.  In fact, as they were losing it at the end, I was kind of hoping that they lost, thinking that it will make them hungrier for March.  I know that isn't a solid theory, but last year, they won the similar game like this against Ohio State, got their 1 seed and then lost in the Sweet 16.

Not solid science, but it is the best I have this morning.

Mannnn! When i first typed this out, it was "Indiana by 4." .. Then i second guessed myself and took a point off the spread. That was a hell of a hard-fought game though! Oladipo carried Indiana on his back for the last 2 minutes of that game. Mich State just looked jumbled in those final minutes. While I'm sure the loss is tough to swallow for the Sparty fans, it's a timely lesson before these kinds of games become the norm in March.

I haven't seen the spread but it probably has to do with MS being home. This is a big test for Indiana. If they can beat MS it shows they deserve that #1 ranking and are the team to beat heading into the tournament. I agree that it is a weak draft, so he might get a lottery pick, which means a nice bonus.  But it is tough to draft a guy who has an injury like this without time to prove that it is rehabilitated.  Look at the Blazers after Oden.

I much prefer seeing UNC win over Duke. I've consistently cheered for the heels, though when we (the WSU Cougs) played the heels in the ncaa tourney in the 07 season, I will admit I grew a bit of distaste for fans that thought they were gonna put up 90 on us.

At first I thought you were talking about the Oregon Ducks... They narrowly defeated my Cougs tonight (predominately due to a dumb foul). My struggling Cougs trailed the ranked Ducks 71-68, before WSU hit a 3 from the corner with ~5 seconds left to send the game to OT.
Unfortunately, tied in OT with 3.8 seconds left, a WSU player fouled a Duck to put em on the line. They made both, and won 79-77.  :(

But now I AM confused, mommeh! Are you a Duke fan or a Tar Heel fan? Ya can't choose both! haha

March is gonna be fun! I spent way too much time filling out my bracket last year, and it sucked worse than the one i tossed together in under 10. This year I'll stick with my gut feelings, and use the time saved to do something productive haha.

Kentucky's star freshman Nerlens Noel tore his ACL last night in a game against Florida. In light of the injury, some discussion has come over the one-and-done rule stating a player must play 1 year of college ball before moving to the NBA. It really is horrifying knowing that one sever injury can render the chances moot of a very talented college player (playing only for scholarship money) making a well paid career in the NBA.

I'm a Wazzu fan, and UCLA (even in their recent downfall) has still been owning us, so I cannot be sympathetic in that regard. I'd be all for another team taking the reigns in the PAC (with exception of the Huskies, or the Ducks). Nevertheless, I definitely feel like UCLA has not lived up to their expected prominence in recent years. I wouldn't be surprised if UCLA has a new coach after this season concludes. The "UCLA" name recruits for itself, so a new head coach could put em right back in the driver seat.

5 overtimes in the ND/Louisville game. Kuh-Rayzee! ND showed a lot of heart to win that one, but I don't think theyre as good as their ranking might suggest. (nor is louisville, for that matter)

Was that not the most weird ending to that Indiana game?!  In the replay you can see all the faces of the Hoosier players go to completely shocked when they noticed that in-bounds pass was to such a wide open player. holy cow!

In other news, Oregon had their 20-game home winning streak snapped last night to a colorado team that had previously lost every Pac-12 road game they had played in the season. Not a huge Buffalo fan, but any time the Ducks lose puts a lil grin on my face. :D

It's been some time since I haven't seen the Heels in the top 25. But 16-6 is hardly "sucky". Win either of the next two away games (Miami and Duke, respectively), and they're at least in the conversation based on "good wins". The loss to Texas certainly not helping matters, though.

Wow. Hell of a win for Indiana over UM. Started number 1, fell a bit and have clawed their way back to the top. Really enjoying following em this season.

Also lovin the Zags in the top 10. Been a while since the Bulldogs have been in that territory, and I'm happy Mark Few still has it in him :). That said,I don't expect them to climb a whole lot higher without some help. Their conference SOS was helped by BYU joining, but it's still not a power conference; they'll likely end up a 3 seed without a "home" court in March. I'll be pullin for em!

Damn it! I was home all last night and I completely spaced that it was on. I posted in here earlier about REEEEALLY wanting to see the game.. then didn't remind myself to watch! Reading the recap right now, and it sounds like I missed a hell of a match! Given, I would've been bummed at the end seeing the Zags cough up the win, but I couldn't be happier for what both teams have accomplished with regards to the "Cinderellas". March is ever approaching, and I cannot wait! :D

Michigan really took charge in that game.  Minnesota has been really impressive, so to Mich do that on the road, really speaks to their toughness.  They are going to be strong in the tourney this year.

I think you're right, Haven. Betting a number of oft-winning teams will have some less-than-impressive road records this year, especially in the big 10. Both remaining unbeaten teams fell this weekend, and both on the road. I imagine Duke will still remain on top of the pack, solely based on RPI. Tim, I wish I could say yes, but I'm really not. Coach K is brilliant, the word "Duke" alone does all their recruiting for em. It's just a matter of execution and these kids seem to have it all figured out this year. I don't like Duke, but it's impressive seeing what they've done with the season so far.
I will admit i WAS surprised to see Duke's non-conf schedule to be as tough as it is. Generally too many ACC teams ride their basketball god complex through December. Butler really has become the epitome of a "giant killer" team. Already beating UNC and Indiana proves they can play with the big boys on any given Saturday. (Though, their losses to Illinois and Xavier were uninspiring). They'll still be one of the more fun teams to watch come March. Actually REALLY looking forward to seeing them match up with the Zags on Jan 19th. Two SOLID non-power conference teams going head to head.. what's not to like?!

That indeed is a hell of a lineup. Probably most interested with the UNC/Indiana matchup. Would totally be rooting for Indiana in that one, and  they're off to a great start, but I wanna see how they fare against really solid competition.

ALso love that the Zags won the Old Spice Classic. :D

When the rankings are updated tomorrow, I would have to assume the Blue Devils will overtake the #1 spot. Having taken out a then #2-ranked Kentucky team, and beating a current #2-ranked Louisville team this weekend, they have certainly had the most difficult schedule in college bball to date. I don't like em, but at this point it seems deserved.

Indiana's been killin it! Georgetown certainly put up a fight (in regulation anyhow, OT was a bit lopsided). Gonna try to watch their matchup with UNC next week. Most of the Big10 is doing really well so far. Seven undefeated teams, though not many have played opponents of substance. Still impressive that that many teams have gone without a slip up!

My main reason for coming in here... Did anyone see the hurt Butler put on UNC last night? I was at the gym and that game was ridiculous. Butler did anything and everything they wanted with UNC in the first half. Held em to 1 offensive rebound in the first half, 9 in the entire game (they average 19 a game), rained threes, got to the line for 25 attempts (sank 20) and had a solid post-up game. Really impressive outing.

Speaking of impressive outings... Did anyone see this? A guard scores 138 points in a game

Both Kansas and Kentucky took a loss last night.
UK lost to the dukies (both of whom I'm no fan of). Trailing by 2 at halftime, Calipari asserted "They're flopping all over the place. In the NBA, they'd all be suspended." In the post-game interview, he was asked about making that assertion. His response: "I did? I don't even remember. What did I say?" A reporter tried to quote Cal to give him a refresher, but he interjected ""It was a joke! Come on, you guys can take a joke at Duke. Geez."

We all know some teams flop more than others, and many would argue Duke is right near (if not at) the top of that list, but it's not like UK hasn't gotten a favorable call or two in recent years. It's part of being a superstar program. Noticed a few teams in the top 25 haven't played yet, so I'll stay tuned for those. Kentucky had a very close match with the Terps on Friday, and Mich St dropped 10 spots after losing to UConn. Lots of bball to come folks! should be a good season.

Calipari's image always makes me think of a 1930's gangster. He's almost as greasy/sleazy looking as Rick Pitino. I never seem to find myself cheering for either of their programs.

My beloved Cougs (not ranked, no surprise lol) kicked a player off the team for "violation of team rules". The player had been in trouble before, after being found in possession of marijuana. Unfortunately it's been a plague of an issue with WSU sports (not to say that's the reason their football team sucks.. that's... another thread lol), but losing a senior starting player is never good news.

I would love to see Kentucky struggle as well.  I'm tired of Coach Cal getting 80% of the one and done's in recruiting every year.

Kansas isn't too far out in the 7 spot, but their schedule isn't too grueling. A couple Pac 12 teams in the mix (including my Cougs, who recently dismissed a player for violating team rules (Read: puff puff, pass)), but none of those are teams in the top 25% of the conference.

Either way, pretty much anyone starting in the top 10 is all but guaranteed a shot at the title come March, so nothing too bad about that :)

I think Kansas should be ranked in the top five.  They got a couple of great freshman coming in this year.  I know they lost Thomas Robinson but Jeff Withey is a shot blocking machine.  As always Kentucky is going to be great again.
