Is it true that you should go with a longer ski then what you are usually used to when it comes to buying a true twin tip?

can you ride switch? i would say the right board type for you is a freestyle. they are lighter, more flexible, and of course can be ridden regular or switch. i am intermediate also and have a freestyle board, which works great on all areas of the mountain. as far as getting an economical board, i would just check a lot of online sites such as this one, but also: backcountry.com, rei.com, and steepandcheap.com. steepandcheap also has a lot of links to other sites. as far as the size goes, i think you will be fine picking a board that is around 140 cm. hope this helps, and good luck. |

I'm 5' 4" 160. I started when I was 150 and rode a 150 but found it slow as I progressed. and gained weight. Now I ride a 153.5.

It would be nice to have recommendations for sizing of snowboards
for example... Person's height: 180cm , recommended to use 162cm board? etc I personally dont know what is best, I just started playing. And maybe the person's weight would require a wider board? Is there any tutorials on this? |

I was wondering if anyone could help me find a board that suits my size. I'm so confused about what type of snowboard to get.
I am 5'3" and weight about 115 lbs. Size 6 feet. Intermediate - advanced level of snowboarding. I want an all around board that I can use whether I'm cruising on the mountain or going off a ramp. Also, I'm on a budget! Does anyone have any suggestions? Your help is much appreciated.
