Member Points Clarifications 1/5/09

The 30 points for posting per day is forum posting specific, any additional methods used for earning points work independently.

I have identified the problem with not receiving login points. If you are already logged in from the previous day and log in again you would not have received a point due to the way the code was set up. I will be modifying it to check if you have earned a point that day for the login properly and should work regardless of if you were already logged in and relogged.

***Additionally, blatant abuse of our member rewards program will be handled accordingly, we reserve the right to deduct points for abuse or negative conduct.

A product review is meant to be a review of a product you have experience with and can offer an opinion about to other members and guests to inform them of your opinion. A product review is not for you to say how something looks cool and provide no additional insight  as to its pros/cons to earn a quick 5 points.

Members caught abusing the system will have their reviews deleted and points deducted for those reviews. Additionally, if a reduction in points puts you below the threshold for a member status level you will be bumped down a notch to the appropriate group status.

Thats probably for the best.  SS already has the cheapest deals around and the fact they're giving us free stuff is insane.  Also, the people who are making huge purchases looking to probably resell don't really deserve to get free stuff.

Im 95% sure its online only.

its pretty sweet that a company is looking out for the consumer instead of just making money off of them!

hmm, don't normally notice login point, just assumed they were automatic

but yeah, I noticed the 1 point per 10 dollars when I ordered bindings in early december

and yeah, I think the idea of free shwag is great, I mean, that not why I joined, kinda.

but I mean, I get more enjoyment out of the community here anyways, buuuuutt, like I said,

okay, so here is a question for you sierra staff coders

do you mean you only have a max of 30 points per day, no matter how they are gained, or you can do all you want until you get 30 points from posting, or is it unlimited whenever points everywhere but the forum?
