Mike Says: The Salomon Malamute is without a doubt the stiffest boot in our store. Expert riders who demand response and durability seek this hard to find boot out in our store. Salomon constructs this boot with the best technology, thus creating a comfortable, adjustable, yet very responsive boot. The Salomon Malamutes are not for the faint at heart. If you love snowboarding, you will love these boots.

i wear a size 11.5 malamute boot from 2005/2006. i got these to replace my starter boots, which were Burton motos.
these boots are stiff. i like it. they're excellent for the riding i do, which is less centered on park and more on freeride. like any boot purchase though, fit is more important than any fancy Options or features. these boots are tight and fit well for me. if i needed to buy another pair of boots, these would definitely be high on my list. |

These boots are stiff, no doubt about it. But, you can run them loose and they're not that bad for the spring days. I've been riding my old boots lately because I've been goofing around switch and butters, but for charging in the pow and steeps, these boots are great!

I still rock mine from 2000 and they are still stiff as ever. love the boot and once broken in, there is no compromise. even hiking backcountry they rock. best item i have ever bought hands down. they are they only boot i will ride. and they still look pretty good for the hundreds of days i have put em thru. couple gouges in the foam from the binding other than that nada
