GSP has always been a hell of a fighter. confident as hell in ring but he has been out a little while. It should be a good fight but I think he will make it happen

He's a very gifted player, but he's always been criticised for not showing up in big games. He scores four sublime goals in a meaningless friendly, but when we played Sweden in the Euros just a few months ago he didn't do anything.
Fourth goal was ridiculous though. |

Oh i agree with the criticism he's had to a certain extent but his skill is masterful at times. The fourth goal was classic but in actuality two of the other three were insanely technical too

Hold those horses Caroeder, it was a meaningless friendly. Thats like someone dropping 70 in an NBA preseason game or hitting five HRs in spring training. It doesnt count. The goals were impressive, but I'm sure he does that kinda thing in training all the time.

I'm all for Fucla taking out the Trojans. Trojans had the door pretty much held open for em to win an NC title this year with their (obviously) over-rated standing. USC found themselves playing to the level of their opponents a lot this year (not to say that UCLA is a bad opponent.. they're solid), but with the exception of Marquis Lee, it seemed like every week you'd be watching a different team on the field. |

Yup, Hendricks has been beating top guys and KO'ing contenders.
He also has outstanding wrestling. Curious to see how this plays out with GSP's belt.

Incredible how Jacksonville was hanging with the Texans. Texans seem to be hit or miss each week on which team is going to show up.

I don't like hearing how the UFC and Silva are pressuring GSP to agree to the superfight so that Silva can start on early retirement. But I believe this fight won't happen til 2014 for various reasons so Silva and UFC will have to wait.

So i guess in the end you have to consider beckham's time in the mls a semi sucess from a business standpoint. At the micro level, the galaxy have won back to back titles. Larger scale results though are: player salaries have, on average, almost doubled since he arrived and the league does get alot more media attention. Here's to hoping the mls continues to grow

Does RG3 get a touchdown for the fumble that went right too his own team and into the end zone? If so then maybe RG3 would have been the right pick. That was a crazy first score for the Redskins. |

I've been a fan of Pac and boxing in general for a longtime, but Marquez always gave him a war. Even if Pac came out on top he had to fight for that win. This fight was no exception, Manny fought for every point he got, but in the end it's how boxing is. One punch can end it all
Is this Manny's swan song, I don't think so but he's window of opportunity for big money fights is getting smaller and smaller. If he left I think he had one hell of a career. His early fights against Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera were stuff of legends, and his 4 way dance with Marquez is up there as well. He put on a clinic against Margarito, Cotto and Hatton. Hall of Fame bound for sure, one of the best fighter of the 2000s. Just a shame that him and Mayweather couldn't get a bout going. If we do now, there is a question of Manny having little left in the tank despite his heart and desire. |

My heart goes out to all Pacman fans... I just got home and saw the KO on youtube... there were already comments about potential controversies... doping... the right foot of Manny getting tripped up by Marquez's left foot before the final punch made contact...
Still, no one can doubt that Pacman is one of the best fighters of all time, amazing historic career, inspirational figure, pride of the Philippines. The hype between Pacquiao vs. Mayweather was too high... people posed Manny's success as an excuse for Mayweather to try and avoid him... but why would Mayweather fight anyone? Maybe this loss will actually bring that fight to actuality. I'm hoping it does, Mayweather had no valid excuse before and now he shouldn't be scared either. |

it was only a few months since his last loss (not the one yesterday) so lets not count manny out JUST yet...lets see what he can do for a comeback fight that's outside of a rematch, THEN (if he loses) we can talk retirement into...a potential presidency, lol

Maybe not presidency but he's probably a huge candidate for VP. He's definitely not out of the game, he was clearly winning the match, similar stats to the Bradley fight, twice as accurate, fewer punches thrown, more punches landed. He just got unlucky ... just 2 seconds left too. Dude was so humble and polite after the fight too. I picture Pacman and Marquez becoming old timer friends.

even watching it, i was sweating balls and couldn't call a decisive winner... in the end, i think even pacquiao admitted he rushed in too quickly and gave him the opening he needed to clock him in the nose...
