Yeah you're absolutely right about Utah ESY. They were dirty as hell almost like the Pistons morphed into the Utah Jazz..........from one era to the next

I hated Malone. He was always hitting people when they weren't looking. Remember when he decked Isiah Thomas? There was also the time he basically knocked David Robinson out from behind while they were jogging up the floor. |

I thought they were going to smash Toronto especially after that ass whoopin handed to them in Boston and Toronto being is disarray. Do you think that they are going to be better then you thought at the beginning of the season. Remember you were telling me you thought they would win (I think you said) around low 40's? I told you they would finish in the top of the conference with over 50 wins. What do you think now Shaka? I can't believe how young they are. WOW

I'll revise my prediction to the upper 40's, but I still don't see them being a contender for the division title at the end. They still have a long ways to go mentally, as evidence by the Boston beatdown.
I do like that they are closing out close games though and keeping their composure. Also, they did start the season with a really tough schedule and have still triumphed in the process. Not to mention, going 4-1 on an east coast road trip isn't bad. However, I do think that by the middle of the season teams are going to figure out how to nuetralize Roy, which would really hold up the offense quite a bit as the rest of the team still hasn't quite figured out how to maintain the flow when he is not on the court. They are making huge strides in it though. I would like to see Fernandez become a mini version of Roy though. Right now he brings energy and flair, but I want to see more of the playmaking that I think he is capable of. Essentially I want to see him play the same role that Roy does when he is on the floor. I honestly believe he has the talent in him to do it. |

Don't forget we were leading the division at one point early in the year last year as well. THough I would love to be proven wrong, but I don't see us fighting for a division title until next year. We will get in as a late seed in the first round and make some noise though.

OU is in the championship because once again the BCS sucks. Texas should be there instead bottom line. Texas beat OU so that would give them the go ahead to play in the championship but once again the BCS screwed this up. When are we gonna learn that leaving the fate of teams up to computers and other stupid things (like coaches that might not like a certain school so therefore not vote for them) isn't the way to be. Dont' they know that a playoff would generate way more money anyways. Why don't they want to go to a playoff format? It just kills me.

Portland vs Orlando tonight. This is going to be a huge one on all fronts. Portland is one of two unbeaten teams at home, Orlando is coming in on a pretty good streak. Also, this is the first time that Oden and Howard will be head to head. I'm hoping he doesn't get too motivated after last nights 23, 22 and 6 blocks stat line.

Lakers need to pick up their Defense letting a team score I think it was 113 is just garbage. Otherwise last year is gonna repeat itself. There gonna get to a team that can play some defense and there gonna blow it.

Jason Richardson to Pheonix? What the hell is MJ doing with Charlotte? That guy really can't run a team to save his life. So you give up one of your best players, in return you get Radja bell (not bad role player) and Boris Diaw who basically has no motivation at all and hasn't played hard since he got his contract.

i'm still curious why the Blazers aren't playing Bayless?! i was talking to a friend/co-worker of mine earlier who is from Portland and is a huge blazers fan about that. i know he's a rookie and all, but he's not getting ANY PT! is he hurt? is it just a rookie thing? doesn't totally make sense because they played the shat out of Roy. i mean, they drafted him for a reason, right?! at least give him some PT and see what he can do with it. especially when they play against weaker teams. just doesn't make sense to me.

Too many gaurds on the roster already. Its going to take some time to get him minutes. Roy, Blake, Fernandez, Rodriguez ahead of him. Not many minutes to go around in the back court. I suspect that they are eventually going to trade Sergio though. However its kind of tough to do when he has such a chemistry with Rudy Fernandez who is an awesome ball player. Having a good friend on the team is likely helping with the transition to the NBA, also Rudy basically took a paycut to come to the NBA. I was thinking Blake might be on the block eventually, but the team needs a veteran gaurd on the roster as well. |

There hasn't been talk of soccer on here, and I thought this was kind of interesting. I am not making any statement, just curious what you guys make of this. I know you never hear of pro athletes having to put up with this in the States.

ESPN talking about soccer?? Oh. It's something negative.
Any manager who's player is being taunted with racist jeers should refuse to put his team on the field...And the home team should be penalized for its fans' behavior.

Lakers are not committed to playing solid defense for 48 minutes, sh!t I would be happy for 40 minutes of solid D. That has always been our achilles heel, we let everyone stick around throughout the game and teams know we don't play D so they play that much harder against us cuz they know they have a shot to win cuz we let them. Killer instinct. Put teams away. Play starters more minutes, or make an example outta Kobe when he yells at another player for not guarding his guy. I would get in his ass if I was Phil Jackson. There has been soo many times in the last couple of games that he has went to help and his guy leaks out or makes a quick cut to the basket or hits the open jumper because he's trying to be a ball hawk. He needs to stay at home and play shut down D on his guy and help when necessary not all the time.

BJ Penn vs. Georges St. Pierre UFC 94! Who do you have and why? I have St. Pierre cuz he is bigger and stronger then Penn and there skill level is really close. I think if speed and skill is close that strength will be the deciding factor. They are both great fighters though and Penn has a ton of heart. It will be a fight for the ages I think if no one gets knocked out fast.
