Crown LE

I happen to own the 164cm '06 model of this board and let me tell you something.... it's pretty fast. The other two boards I own are a Burton T6 162cm '05 and a Burton Custom 162cm '06, so you know what I'm comparing it to. The Crown is heavier than both the Custom and the t6, the added weight is due to the fact that it's longer, wider, and generally more dense. It doesn't have the weight savings of the t6's aluminum core, nor the slimmer profile of the custom (the t6 is also slim). As such, there's a noticeable difference off of kickers and also edge to edge (again, read: wider). It's a locomotive though. It happens to be the board that sent me to the hospital for racing (I ended up there because of a skier who wasn't looking where he was going, that and a fence). That's how fast you can go on it. It absolutely barrels through anything. It's meant to go fast and it does. The large waist of the 164 accomodates my size 12 boots just fine and it's great for cruising when you don't want to scream down the mountain scaring people.
