Mike Says: A unique rider like Andy Finch deserves his own snowboard. One thing comes to mind when I think about this board: POWER. If you are a powerful rider in any terrain (powder, park and groomers), then I highly recommend you check this board out. Palmer constructed the Andy Finch with power in mind. All the technology in this board is designed to create power and support powerful riders while they ride! Not many boards are this tough; if you break a lot of snowboards, I dare you to break this one!

I got to ride my Any Finch Pro 162 for the first time yesterday. In short:Phenominal! I am very picky about my boards, but this was perfect. Before I explain, here's some insight on my riding style and size. I have a 11.5" foot, weight 205 lbs, and am 6'1" tall. My stance was 23" with 24 deg in the front and -6 deg in the back. I have a lot of racing and freestyle experience. I tend to be what someone would call the All-Mountain freestyler. I demand precise high-speed carves (not SKIDs!), and response. I also want a board that is playful enough and poppy for freestyle.
With it's 7200 graphite base it accelerated quickly and with it's 9.2 meter tri-radial sidecut radius it handles the speed with stability! The board width at 25.7 cm provided great clearance for my Salomon F22's. I was able to get knees and butt close to the ground with no boot out. And for freestyle it matched my aggressive, yet playful nature.
I will get back to you when a pipe is built.
Bottom line: This may be my favorite board ever since 1993!

I got my first day of the season in yesterday and gave some love to the '07 Finch. It gave some love right back. The morning started with about 4-6 inches of powder. Maybe not ideal for this board, but it held its own. I then migrated to groomers, and this board totally tore the mountain appart. This board was fast and stiff with great edge-to-edge handling. Some people aren't too keen on cap construction, but I had no complaints. In terms of looks, a couple of people complimented the board design, and the orange glow produced by the base looks pretty sweet. |
