whats you budget like?
if you dont care how much you spend then go with the spy soldier or spy orbits both wonderful goggles that are made from a very reputable company heres a link soldiers: http://spyoptic.com/the_products/snow_goggles/index.cfm?ModelName=Snow/Soldier Orbits: http://spyoptic.com/the_products/snow_goggles/index.cfm?ModelName=Snow/Orbit also oakley has some good products too the a frames are really popular because they fit a lot of faces (they compare to the soldiers) and the oakley wisdoms have a huge window pane to look through( comparable to the orbits) links a frames: http://oakley.com/o/o1331d Wisdoms: http://oakley.com/o/o1309d i would reccomend the goggles in this order 1. Spy Soldiers - There a very versiitile goggle that can be used for everything and almost every face. plus they come in a bunch of sweet colors and prints 2. Spy Orbits - A great goggle for big faces and people who just like to see EVERYTHING. the have a huge field of vision and are great for backcountry and seeing a lot 3. Oakley A Frames - They are a similar goggle to the the spy soldier, but they dont come in as many cool colors and prints 4. Oakley Wisdoms - They are a great goggle fora big field of vision. just be aware if you are gonna wear em with a helmet, you have to get another strap to make em helmet compatable(the strap costs around 20 bucks) also as far as lenses go, both companies have a huge variaty of lenses, but oakleys lenses cost way more! because there mroe mainstream so if you gonna be night riding and need to get a pair of yellow or clear lenses, you gonna pay way more for oakley lenses hope this helps when i have more time i'll touch on some other companies such as vonzipper, anon, and smith peace |

try em on and see what fits your face. i like spy soldier and orbit and oakley a frame, wisdom, crowbar.
if you dont need interchangable lenses. get the spys. which ones? try em on. if you want to have the option to changes lenses. oakleys. soldier, a fram and crowbar fits similar. orbit and wisdom fits similar. |

The best ones are the ones that fit your face.
I tried a bunch and have settled on Oakley A frames, they are crazy expensive, but worth it to me. |

In some situations the A-Frames are the cheaper selection to other Oakley goggles. In aus it goes Crowbar, Wisdom then A-Frame so its really where you get them and how good you can bargain if you have a price in mind.

yeah, really, you didnt know they could swap lenses??? spys are way more unique and cheaper than oakleys and they have sweet mirror lenses. oakleys dont the closest they have is gold iridium black iridium isnt totally flush non see through the mirror lenses from spy are totally non see through, all you see from the outside is a mirro its pretty tight cool mirror lenses - ![]() |

Iris (<---old name) makes some dope affordable goggles. Not a very big selection on frame colors though. I've been sporting them since they came out in 96 or 97 or somewhere around there. I've got the Type R camo series. Edited by faded-a-fool - Nov/05/2006 at 11:47pm |

I have Spy Orbits and they are awesome --- you can see really well, especially if it's really sunny. I've had better luck with Spys then Oaks durability-wise.

You are going to love this, i have never had to replace goggles for wear and tear purposes. The only time i have had to replace my goggles was when someone broke into my house and stole them and some of my cloths and stuff. The stupidity thing was that they stole them with no intention of using them as we both live at the beach.

i have some spy orbits and love them. They fit great on my face and give me a huge field of vision. They look best with a helmet on because they are pretty big. Without a helmet, you kinda look like a bug or something. They are comfortable and have the angled straps and a sticky material to help them stay in place when you use a helmet

Yeah in 2004 i had the opportunity to get some orbits but i went with the Oakley's because of prior experience and lens availability.

orange is best for all-weather. black is best for sunny days. yellow is best for snowing/cloudy/dark days and nights.

the mirrored lenses, i think, are more for the looks. on my orbits, it said that the mirror lens helps reduce glare, but I don't know how much it would. |

Spy Orbits are well built...little less on the up-down field of view, but excellent side to side...Orange or bronze with a mirror fade is the best all around...orange clear is good, but can hurt when its sunny, mirror is good for sun but useless when its snowy...again mirror fade is the best, and spy uses it well...their blue-org spectra mirror is the shizzy Anon Halcyons are out of manufacture now, but they are awesome goggles...Realms are the replacement...they are sick and have a cold weather/warm weather swappable venting system... Anon offers the best lens I have ever used...they call it Solex Mirror...it is not fully polarized, but it adapts to light conditions, somehow...you can get it for Realms |
