^Grab yourself a file guide or an edge tool. These make sharpening sooooo much easier.

It depends on the situation. For probably a good 90% of the people out there, the factory cut is going to be perfectly fine. When you start getting into really specific needs - then you start thinking about beveling. If you take a degree or two off your base edge for example, that will make it less grabby. This is especailly helpful if you're riding in the park. However, if you leave your side angle at 0 - you will have a > 90degree bevel, and if you're really trying to lay down a carve, it gets difficult. So - in response, some people will also bevel their side edge by the same amount as their base edge, thus maintaining a good 90 degree edge overall - but it's up off the base by 1-2 degrees. Some people take it one step further, if they're say, racing - or really enjoy super high speeds and hard carves, and will put a 1-2 degree base bevel on (less grabby, a little more forgiving/easy to ride) - but then throw a 2-4 degree side bevel on. Thus making < 90degree bevel. This means when they carve, the edge really seriously digs in, and you feel like you're on a rail. This takes some getting used to though - and isn't really recommended. Although - back to what I was saying - for the most part, most people do just fine with the factory tune.Â

please dont flame me for another wax question. At least I posted in an existing thread..... but I just finished my first hot wax and I gotta say im pretty happy EXCEPT somehow I got little flakes of wax all over my top sheet especially around the nose and tail. I tried wipe it off but it wont come clean
I think I might of grabbed it to hold hit with waxy hands while scraping ... not sure Anyone know how to prevent this ? Anyone know how to clean the topsheet? I was thinking iron at low temp and a brown paper bag to absorb the wax |

This almost always ends up happening when I wax my board. As far as prevention just try to control where the shaving end up.
I just take a rag and buff out the wax thats on the top sheet. It won't hurt anything being there. Depending on the amount you have it might take a bit of elbow grease but it'll clean up nicely.
No worries.
