So i have owned three pairs of Burton Ions now 07, 08, 09 and I felt that the 2010 had a drastically different fit that i wasn't really a fan of. Think i might be getting slx's this year. Anyone else tried the 2010's on and felt they were way different.

thats weird. i felt like the 07 and 08 fit fine, the 09 was totally different, and the 2010 is more like the 07/08 again. i didnt like the 09s and they felt junky and mushy, and then 2010s feel fixed and theyre solid and fit good again.
even if our feet are the same, i would think we could tell when boots fit the same or different.. strange |

I agree about the 09 ions they were not "ion stiff" that year. Maybe i need to try on my 07's and 08's again. I still cant put a finger on this years, I thought the toe box was roomier for sure. Also they feel like they ride higher up on the ankles.

the 2010s are still different, i more so just meant that they went back to fitting me good, unlike the 09s which felt all around weird and not good.
07 ions werent very stiff either from what i remember. 08s were kinda up there though.. sorta. i guess theyre really not that stiff of a bot in the first place or something? i like the 2010s though, but im a ruler guy. slightly better fit for me and cheaper. |

Yea 09 was a weird year for the ion. I must admit this years rulers are pretty sick. They added the shrinkage tech to it too. Also I noticed the brown and lime seemed lighter than other colors.

they had shrinkage in 09 too. definitely stoked to get 2010s, and i was thinking of getting that brown/lime color. even better, i got to try them on when i was in calgary.. best fitting boot ive ever tried on.

Nice... I would be interested the Grail boot. I believe it is meant to replace the sabbath as a more parky version. Wish it had speed zone though.
