^Lots of places are already open. Don't like the pretty steep prices for 2 or 3 open runs though.

I was tempted to sneak up to Tahoe Friday, but N*'s early season ticket price seems awful steep for just a tiny bit of the mountain open. +Rain-snow is forecast there, so maybe I'll wait.

Yeah that would suck. On the plus side, I could get paid 4x for what i do in Colorado compared to what I make for it here in Oregon. A trade-off i'd gladly make!
By that do you mean just a ticket to use for the early season, or a discount for a full season by buying it early? If it's the latter, and you'll use it, jump on it! I was contemplating getting a season pass for this year, but it would take 8 trips to the mountain to cover costs, and I honestly don't foresee being able to do that on my income. Probably 5-6 times, with an additional trip to Hood in January. I'll see how finances are at the end of the season when they offer discounts for NEXT season and allow it to be used for the rest of this one. |

So one of the things that I do at my job is credit counseling and financial education.
I got a phone message at work yesterday (missed it because we got the day off) that was one of those "we'll lower your monthly payment" scam ads.
Not only random, but pretty funny that they tried to scam the guy in charge of teaching others how to not get scammed. :)

Last night someone decided to steal a car and then bring it to the alley behind my house to burn it.
This morning I found out I was made full time at work
It sucks my neighborhood has turned into such shit, but with any luck I can transfer out to CO in a few years and really start living my life in the right place.

When I drove over the Windsor bridge into Detroit from Canada, I have to say that the skyline looked sorrowfully pathetic... I could see buildings in the distance, hollowed out by a city in regressive decay. As if a dark ink was splashed onto what used to be the white walls of what was a tall-standing city at the peak of industrialisation-- a city now within its own shadow.

Maybe hah.. But allergic reaction is completely different from resistant! If he was resistant...the dayquil would have no effect.....but an allergic reaction involves his body rejecting it completely and having unexpected effects! |

I don't live in the city limits, just south of it, but I used to. It was the most depressing place to be, filled with hopelessness. I moved here out of the city to get away from it but as the economy and the world slide downward so does all the trash from the city.

It's been about 3 years since I have been in the D, but even then it was worlds different from the times I used to go up there to skate back in highschool (about 12 years ago). I mean, back in HS when we would go up, things were pretty bad in a good chunk of the city we skated, but there were plenty of places I felt safe and would of considered "nice". Crazy how fast things can go to shit, eh? In other news... Wore one of my riding coats last night and found 5 bucks in the pocket! Along with a hotel room key (apparently I stayed in room 206) and a receipt from Vermont. The season is almost upon me! Think the wife and I might try to go to WV in early December. Dying to ride. Will have to just wait and see how the weather goes for the next 3 weeks or so.. |

Always a bummer when you forget food in a jacket. My wife is notorious for leaving fun sized candy bars in her jackets. Usually doesn't do anything, but from time to time one will get smashed into a pocket and cause one hell of a mess. |
