Thatl sort the men out from the boys! Also because itll be like 7pm my time itll be a doddle for me. Seriously, 3pm? Think of your international lazybones that aint getting up at 7am for no one! (i mean i get up at 7.30, but those thirty extra minutes are PRECIOUS!!!!)

Well, the thing is that the staff at Sierra work from an office and that is where the giveaway is done from.
If a 3AM giveaway is done then a staff member would need to be on and hold this.

Oh i see, its like that is it. "its 3pm! im so lucky because ipps wont get up so i dont have competition and can just be online at 3pm because thats really easy for me and i dont care just so long as i get my free board because its a normal time of the day for me and if they changed it id cry like a gigantic baby because that would be like totally unfair if i had to log in at a stupid time of the day but its perfectly fine when ipps has to do it but ill pretend that im making an objective point and throw in an ad hominem too, like call him a whiner or something, because in fact everyone that logs in at 3pm wins a snowboard because this is oprah!!! even though i probably have just as much chance of winning the lottery i should carry on being uppity about cutesy threads because its important others see how awesome i am at getting up at 7am like a pro because you win a snowboard just by logging in so you should set your alarm and get up like a pro like me that is pro!!"

Yeah I dont think any of us are gunna come into the store at 3am in the morning and do a FREE giveaway. 7am is pretty reasonable for you to get up if you want a chance to win a FREE snowboard, plus its not like you have to wake up and be signed in if you dont want to.

Amen to that miss  I have only been on this for a short time and haven't got on for the giveaway yet due to classes. But it's free, if you are going to complain about a free give away you are a little spoilt i think.

When I was living in australia I couldnt get up at 7am either, solution? move to Canada! but im usually out boarding at 3pm...oh well would rather be boarding then on the interenet

Easy fix. Download Firefox. Install the ReloadEvery extension. Surf to Sierra, and go to the Forums. Right click on a clear spot on the page, and select "reload every custom". Set it to reload every 10 minutes, and go to sleep. Check to see if you won the next day in the forum in the 3pm giveaway thread.

I live in the Netherlands and that is very anoying because I have to wait till 0:00 AM local time to join the giveaway, If they make the giveaway 11:00 AM it would be nice for me. But I am not complaining, just winning I hope

i dont know abuot 3 am...
but i sorta agree with a different time. because even west coast peoples 3pm some of us arent home yet.... maybe like 4pm or something but i guess 4pm on mondays is when they do the ski giveaway....

Actually i have two way better ideas:
1. Random unexpected giveaways just to reward them that hang out here.
2. Random mini auctions - say for example a sierrascope at a $200 buyout with a 1 hour or shorter bid time starting at $75 or thereabouts.
3. Not auction, but random $100 or $200 deck moments on a 15 minute timer or something.
Basically more random stuffs because random is random.

hope you know that nobody from ss will wake up just because you want it to change time. They are a US based company and will obviously do it in their own timezone. THeir main business is from North americans

All in all I kind of like the idea of a 3AM giveaway. I am sure that I would be up to try for it and that it I would have a greater chance of winning since most will be in bed. This also gives the ones that have to work during the day and cant get to a computer at 3PM a chance to get in on free snowboard.

If Sierra did giveaways every hour there wouldn't be any more stuff to buy and Sierra would go out of business. That would suck!
