Im torn between two boards! I can get the 07 ride dh for 25% off or i can get the 07 burton twin for 10% off. I love shreddin the park mostly but also find some powder for a little change of pace. What would you do?

i ordered the burton twin through a local board shop and they kept tellin me it would be be in in a couple days, its still not there so i kept hassling them and they said i can have 25% off any board they have in stock, or 10% off the twin when it comes in since its taking so damn long

when i bought my DH from Sierra, i got 25% off.
of course, i haven't tried it out yet, but i jumped around the house when i set everything up and am loving it already. i can't wait to get into it when the season officially gets goin'. i rode my friend's DH last season and it's a pretty dope board. nice flex, but not too soft to where you're losing speed in powder and on the groomed runs. it's got just enough flex to where you can still pull a good wheelie and what have you without having to give your legs a hell of a workout. |

Ride DH and Burton Twin are really quite different boards...Burton Twin have a little secret, Twin FLEX...most twins have directional flex...Burtons Twin is the same flex in both directions...Ride Kink is the Twin equivalent, but its VERY flexy and soft, too limiting for you (as you said you wanted to go float, as well)
I did a complete Twin review http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3 I have a 152, but if you went with a 154 or 157, you'd get PLENTY of float This is the first Burton board I bought in a long time...I was thinking of a Dominant or a Seven, but this board has JUST enough versatility and wants to be in the park, but lets you venture out, too peace |

what are your specs? riding ability? riding interest?
without knowing too much about you, i would say the DH. but both are super fun boards. |

can't go wrong either way. depending on the size, get the one that fits your boot the best.

i love hittin big kickers, i got the fs and bs 360s down pretty clean. I want to get better at throwin in longer grabs and bigger rotations for sure. i got the fs and bs boardslide and 5050 down, this year im goin for the nose and tail presses. Im at the best stage in progression where everything is just startin to click. I live in the midwest which blows for boardin, biggest cliff ive seen and dropped off was like 15 ft. Im makin a couple trips out west this year tho, cant wait.
as for best trick stewart, ive pulled 540s but not much style. So i guess fs 360 mute, nothin to crazy but hey, its all good. Edited by jGanz - Nov/17/2006 at 11:23am |

If I were you I'd probably get a ride DH based on what u like to ride and for where u spend your days. Theyre a really fun buttery board with carbon to make it poppy on kickers as well. Plus with a discount like that itd be pretty cheap. Also Im curious to see how the new slimewalls are this year.
