i have a burton hero that i used 2 times so far and the base looks very dry and has a bunch of white spots near the edges on the base. the first time i rode it with factory wax and the second time i got a quick 10 second wax job. does the whiteness mean my base is oxidized and i need a base grind or i do i just need a good hot wax?

Just hot wax it and the white spots will dissappear. That white spot/line dry look is how alot of us guage whether it needs a waxing or not.

Most likely you just need wax. Try the wax before you pony up the money for a grind, definitely.
Sintered base means higher maintenance. Belt waxes (what I'm assuming you mean by "quick 10 second wax") are useless. Pony up for iron waxes or pick up your own equipment. |
