I visited a indoor slope in Japan while I was studying abroad. I was hoping that I could ride but it was way beyond my ability to ride in there. Which is why I really need to go to HCSC

Hey hey hey!! I happen to like 7's pants alot! He looks like a manic samurai snowboarder...
I'm so sad about my last post. I spent hours synchronizing it to Van Halen's Jump soundtrack, only to have YouTube mute it out
...I will find a way around it...

Mashy-naps Home Resort: Peek ‘N Peak, Windham, Holiday Valley Years Snowboarding: 9? Average number of days Snowboarding each year: Anywhere from 50s to 80s Favorite Snowboard Setup: (Board & Binding) Nitro Swindle, Burton Triads Favorite Snowboard Trick: A nice crail, or a front 3 tail grab Your Best Experience Snowboarding: A few weeks ago, my region got almost 7 feet of snow, in only a matter of days. It was a great week deep, deep pow, and awesome campus jibbing. What makes you most want to go to HCSC this Summer: I want to go to HCSC because I have been there once before, and I understand the fun and happiness that place brings. My time there was some of the most enjoyable times of my life. Nothing can compare to the good times of a summer on Mt. Hood. Some would call us crazy, but my friends and I cant live through the summer with out snowboarding, so we built our own boxes. It’s hard to even imagine the hysterical looks we get driving back from the ice rinks with a truck full of snow. Every time I sit in the back of a truck shoveling out snow, I think of all the lucky people across the country riding one of the best parks on the planet. Why should you win the HCSC Summer Camp Session: It’s hard to say I should deserve it more than anyone else, but I think that the amount of passion I have for snowboarding, and how much I NEED to ride makes me a good choice. Needless to say this is not a cheep trip. Last summer I completely broke the bank on my trip. I saved for well over a year and ended up starting my freshman year of college with almost no money (it was worth it). If I could I would go again in heartbeat, but on my on tab it’s just not possible. What is your biggest snowboard goal/dream: More of a shortterm goal, but next winter, 2010-11, my goal is to do more USASA comps, and hopefully qualify for finals if things go well.
here's what goes down in the summer w/o HCSC
much better with HCSC |

Sierra
User Name: Rossco2314 Home Resort: Cannonsburg Ski Resort in Michigan Years
Snowboarding: 6 years Average number of
days Snowboarding each year: Here in Michigan only about 40 days Favorite
Snowboard Setup: (Board & Binding) Lib Tech- Skate Banana w/ Union Force Bindings and 32- Lashed in Purple Favorite
Snowboard Trick: I love doing front 360's and trying to do front 540s. I love seeing people do rodeos Your Best
Experience Snowboarding: My best snowboarding experience was when a bunch of my friends and myself went up to a small little cabin in Northern Michigan. It was about 10 of us crammed into a tiny cabin. We boarded the new Olympic Training Center, Otsego Club. It is a sweet park and has 22 foot half-pipe walls. I got to meet a couple Olympians and see them learn double corks. It is the best park in Michigan for sure. I also competed in my first competition and loved it and want to do more even though I did not do as well as I hoped. Overall the weekend was amazing and we had so much fun!!! What
makes you most want to go to HCSC this Summer: I really want to snowboard this summer before I go away to college and I cannot do that in Michigan.I want to have one amazing snowboard experience before I leave for college in the fall of 2010. I really would love the opportunity to go to Mt. Hood and snowboard the glacier while meeting great snowboards and be trained by them.I have always wanted to go to HCSC but never could because I couldn't afford it. I had a friend who went to HCSC and he improved so much. I want to improve and be able to do back flips and 540/720s. It looks nuts out there and I really would love to go. Why
should you win the HCSC Summer Camp Session: Because I really want it. I want to go so bad. All the snow is melted in Michigan and I am still dieing to go snowboarding. If I could afford to go to HCSC I would but I can't, I though about asking my parents to send me there but they can't afford it because they will be paying my way through college. I just want to become the best snowboarder I can. I need to snowboard one great last time before entering into college and starting my adult life. I want to be a kid in a candy store and I think me being at HCSC would do that!! What
is your biggest snowboard goal/dream:
My biggest goal is to be able to land a backside 360 and do a back flip. I would love to be able to fly through the sky upside down. I always would love to be able to land a backside 360. I want to become the best of my ability. I don't care about getting hurt. I have snowboarded with a few broken bones but I didn't care because I was on the hill snowboarding. It is what I love and what calms me. |

So this first video was taken with my old point and shoot camera at Copper mountain. The second video was taken at Vail my new helmet cam. It was a couple of great days with some powder and shots in the park too.

OK, this is my crowning jewel!
I've been struggling to progress from backside 180s to backside 3's.
However!! I just discovered that it is *much* easier to go from backside 1's to frackin double backflips!!
Booooooyaaaaa!
Seriously, its no big deal

So let me get this straight...if you're a gapper you have to buy crap gear to learn on until you earn the right to wear/ride better gear??? Come on, thats such a silly attitude. Sure its funny to see people who buy expensive gear only to use it once, but who cares? |
