How to earn member points-

The reviews section is full to bursting point of utter dross. There are about 100 reviews TOPS i would trust in there to be from people not trying to 'trick' the flaggers that their review is of any substance or worth. The only reason its not cleaned up is simply because there arent enough hours in the day to even make a dent in it since the staff went on exodus.

It doesnt also help as well that you can't flag crap easily. You can't just click on a user look through his inane crayola dribblings and flag his reviews. No no! you have to find what he reviewed, go to the review then find his review in amongst all the other detritus and then flag it, then wait for the page to reload, then go back to his or her member profile and do it all again.

Someone needs to code something where not only can we say this review stinks, but also where we can immediately flag it when it crops up in the summary listing.

Honestly, its hard to say this, but the worst thing about this community right now, is well, this community. I mean even when we tell people we are sick to death of point whoring jerks, they swim in like zombie goldfish "did someone say something about points? How can i get more points? I wish i had more points?"

The experiment failed. I'm sure everyone on this site is nice and decent. but dangle something in their face (for contributing to the community), and they turn into a jackass.

Did you miss the point about contributing?

"if you make 3 reviews a day you can earn points!"

"i wish i had more points!"

YOU IDIOTS ARE MISSING THE POINT!!!

haha. This is so true. I say a solid week with 5+ different threads on this subject.

Yes. They just give you $100 towards the goggles. At least that's what they have been doing. With the changes, you'll have to check it out

any word on how the new system might work? obviously no point for log in, but what else is changing?

holy crap! theoretically, assuming you make 3 reviews per day (plus bonus for each review), 5 posts per day, and login every day, you can be at 9125 points.

So you only need to lie about 1090ish products to get a free snowboard! congrats!

YOu maintain that discount, but only for certain items.  Not everything is automatically discounted 10% off

you keep your points. Its a reward for hitting each step and of course POSITIVELY contributing to the community :)

If i havnt hit the 200 pnts to get the 10% but put in an order that puts me into that range will i get the discount on that purchase or only on the next purchase? i am needing to put in a pretty big order and could really use a little help- hint hint please can i have a discount?
